Makerfield. Old habits die hard. I’m actually in shock that that many people could vote for Labour after everything we know now. It seems cult like. I’m lost for words. How do we wake these people up? Can we wake these people up?

Restore Britain got just over 3,000 votes out of 45,000 votes cast…Do we really need any more confirmation that it’s largely bots, plus a handful of well-meaning people being taken for a ride?

@JackHadders Jack, you still aren’t even acknowledging the point you started with - the BNP had been a force in electoral politics for decades. Restore have come from nothing to get more than double the votes of Tory, Green & Lib Dem.

Restoreoids are coping because “the party’s only 4 months old” and the BNP was older. You have the backing of a trillionaire, millions of social media followers, a rabid activist base who bet their life savings on winning, and you still couldn’t beat Mr Griffin! State of you!
British Bastard 🇬🇧@BritishBastardX

Should we take a look at by-election results from Reform 4 years in? Restore are 4 months old we done great considering the entire establishment and mainstream media have been on an all out attack on restore for the last month & no fair media coverage. You can laugh all you want, we are here to stay.

@raelbrav Instead of whinging, have you thought to investigate why people are voting for Restore and Reform? Have you thought to consider why these parties exist to begin with?

No political leader can hope to win the confidence of the mainstream while attracting neo Nazis and refusing to call them out. A serious movement draws a clear line against extremism. Those unwilling to do so inevitably reveal something about themselves.

🚨👉I appreciate RESTORE BRITAIN fans are upset with achieving a mere 6.8% of the vote. A party renowned for 1 policy is best advised to turn itself into a pressure group.

To the 3000+ members that voted for Restore Britain, well done. You resisted all of the attacks and smears and put your vote where it counts. You are true patriots, absolute legends. We will Restore Britain, its only a matter of time.

@LagboatUK1 On the flip side, Restore got more than double the votes of the Tories, Greens & Lib Dems combined - could you imagine this 6 months ago? Labour can’t stand a familiar face in every constituency come 2029. Don’t worry about it.

25,000 people voted for Labour. This country is finished. Just keep fit, surround yourself with capable people and look after your friends and family for as long as you're alive. There's not voting your way out of it.

Burnham won easy, as we all predicted. I'm glad it was by a large enough margin to stop Reform losing their minds over it. Clearly the UK needs to feel more pain before they switch on. So.. have at it. I only hope your kids don't get bummed or buried before 2029 rolls around.🤷‍♂️

@Southsealad Lots of Restore’s 7% came from people who wouldn’t have voted at all (like me) But even assuming he took that 7% from Reform - 35 + 7 doesn’t make over 55 does it? What a dickhead

So Rupert Lowe has admitted he knew restore couldn’t win makerfield and would be happy with more than 2% of the vote. So he let restore stand to hand Labour the win. What a dickhead. Personal rift with reform and Farage before country.

Sorry couldn’t get a screen shot from GB News, but did anyone else catch that one of the first ballot boxes to be brought into the count area in Makerfield was number 117. Probably just a coincidence.

Strong chatter in Makerfield that although Burnham has the "celebrity factor", locals aren't impressed that Andy bussed-in Hugh Grant & Steve Coogan, who referred to the 65% Brexit-voting locals as "thick idiots" back in 2016. The Manchester Mayor is taking this election for granted, and nothing irritates salt-of-the-earth Northerners like a Labour luvvie with a sense of entitlement. Will it cause enough drag on Labour votes to let Rob Kenyon cat-burgle this contest?

It’s looking likely that it’ll be a Labour win in Makerfield, and many at Reform will lay the blame on Restore. Reform had the country in their hands. They could have whitewashed everything for years to come. Until they released some soft statements on immigration, until they appointed Muslims, until they no longer become a right wing party. Whatever has happened today - Restore has split no vote. Reform have shot themselves in the foot. If they were the party that the country wanted, Restore wouldn’t have been created.

High turnout is more likely to be in favour of Restore Britain. If Reform were capable of getting non/lapsed voters to turnout, they would have won Gorton and Denton. But maybe Burnham being the opposition and Reform having a much better candidate is making a difference? Interested to see how this plays out.
Adam Brooks AKA EssexPR 🇬🇧@EssexPR

High turnout apparently in Makerfield, that’s good for Reform. Labour strongly favourites, but let’s see. Expected around 3am
