Yes - they are seriously asking for support of something that they are unwilling to define. Madness. No to racism. No to The Voice.

@LindaBurneyMP Are you seriously asking Australians to vote on a referendum that has no details with the PM saying those will be nutted out AFTER the referendum. Why would I do that Linda? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

@ClimateHuman It shouldn’t be difficult at all, research, test, use appropriate controls, report facts, have it peer reviewed and come to a biased conclusion, that supports the current narrative (use terrifying/ignored and post it on SM to create anxiety in others who don’t support your view)

@Bonobeau2 @Mark11ETH @Bowenchris @AlboMP China/India (big C02 contributors) will rely on Coal til at least 2050, we have plenty of time to invest, build and sort out a #nuclear end to end process
English

@Mark11ETH @Bowenchris @AlboMP Fund clean renewable energy, and the infrastructure to store & distribute it. We don't have the leisure of wasting a decade or more to develop a nuclear industry from a standing start. Regardless of how long it would take, nuclear energy is expensive energy.

@EDOLawyers EDO has half the story from the vocal minority… Check out prior convictions, modified explosive carrying and come back to us
English

EDO is deeply concerned by the recent trend in harsh custodial sentences and heavy-handed policing against climate protestors in Australia.

@theweeklytimes If the vandal(s) was found and incarcerated, the greens would have them out in a jiffy, because this would be seen as ‘peaceful protesting’ we have this backward Australia

@David_Ritter A peaceful protestor getting 15 months in jail is an unjust disgrace, Coco has a track record and carried a modified explosive, so not a peaceful protestor, by any stretch of the imagination. SM is allowing grifters to gloss over these facts…
English

Good to see Violet Coco released on bail.
Sure, there are legitimate differences of opinion about what approach to climate advocacy are most likely to win hearts and minds, but a peaceful protestor getting fifteen months in prison is an unjust disgrace.

@JEChalmers Wrong! Rush to renewables is causing the problem, there was no energy policy chaos left behind, energy costs weren’t crippling households until you took the reigns
English

@Bluesy_Backbeat @joshI20 @SkyNewsAust It could take 25 years to roll out and still be a good option, the big polluters (China/India and developing countries) will still be using coal til 2050
English

@joshI20 @SkyNewsAust Nuclear power would take a minimum of 10 years to build, that’s after trying to figure out a plan of what to do with the waste. Do you know how much it would cost to build enough nuclear power stations to power Australia compared to a combination of renewable energy options?
English

Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen says the Opposition has “no plan” and “no clue” how they would reduce energy prices across the country.

@canberratimes @ebony_bennett For protesting yes, the law would seem well over the top. For carrying a modified explosive, 7/8 prior convictions and more times let off by magistrates, well under what was deserved. Probably also needed some mandatory time in psychiatric care

@LilyDAmbrosioMP Has the ALP govt stopped taxing profit? Because obscene profit means obscene tax….
English

Gas producers fear-mongering again. Remember this: their production costs have not gone up as a result of the Ukrainian War. But they’re raking in obscene profits and every family and business is paying for it on our bills. Price caps are a must abc.net.au/news/2022-12-1…

@sarahinthesen8 Amber on 1. Support sustainable logging in rotational coupes but No to old growth logging 2. Yes STOP 3. Green until #nuclear is embedded and our power security is assured (China/big polluters will rely on Coal/Gas until at least 2050)
English

@BobBrownFndn @crikey_news legitimate political expression? No, not when you carry a modified explosive device, or enter a legitimate worksite. Lawful demonstration and demonstrators are not targeted, criminal activists with prior convictions are. Lets make this clear

@LilyDAmbrosioMP Not one point was correct, *majority of Victorians (less than 40% voted ALP)*renewables are not the cleanest, nuclear is * cheapest, no one’s bills have gone down, they are up * coal has proven reliable for decades F- for you Lily
