@ClimateHuman It shouldn’t be difficult at all, research, test, use appropriate controls, report facts, have it peer reviewed and come to a biased conclusion, that supports the current narrative (use terrifying/ignored and post it on SM to create anxiety in others who don’t support your view)

It’s incredibly difficult being a climate scientist in this society, at an emotional level. We can see the future, it is terrifying, and we are being ignored

@Mark11ETH @Bowenchris @AlboMP Fund clean renewable energy, and the infrastructure to store & distribute it. We don't have the leisure of wasting a decade or more to develop a nuclear industry from a standing start. Regardless of how long it would take, nuclear energy is expensive energy.

@David_Ritter A peaceful protestor getting 15 months in jail is an unjust disgrace, Coco has a track record and carried a modified explosive, so not a peaceful protestor, by any stretch of the imagination. SM is allowing grifters to gloss over these facts…

Good to see Violet Coco released on bail. Sure, there are legitimate differences of opinion about what approach to climate advocacy are most likely to win hearts and minds, but a peaceful protestor getting fifteen months in prison is an unjust disgrace. theguardian.com/australia-news…

@JEChalmers Wrong! Rush to renewables is causing the problem, there was no energy policy chaos left behind, energy costs weren’t crippling households until you took the reigns

Australians are paying a hefty price for the Russian invasion of Ukraine and for nearly a decade of energy policy chaos by the previous govt. We are acting urgently to take some out of the sting out of price rises for households and businesses #auspol #ausecon

@joshI20 @SkyNewsAust Nuclear power would take a minimum of 10 years to build, that’s after trying to figure out a plan of what to do with the waste. Do you know how much it would cost to build enough nuclear power stations to power Australia compared to a combination of renewable energy options?

@canberratimes @ebony_bennett For protesting yes, the law would seem well over the top. For carrying a modified explosive, 7/8 prior convictions and more times let off by magistrates, well under what was deserved. Probably also needed some mandatory time in psychiatric care

Gas producers fear-mongering again. Remember this: their production costs have not gone up as a result of the Ukrainian War. But they’re raking in obscene profits and every family and business is paying for it on our bills. Price caps are a must abc.net.au/news/2022-12-1…

We don’t need traffic lights in our environment laws, we need STOP signs. 🛑 Stop signs on native forest logging; 🛑 Stop signs on extinction; and 🛑 Stop signs on new coal & gas.

@BobBrownFndn @crikey_news legitimate political expression? No, not when you carry a modified explosive device, or enter a legitimate worksite. Lawful demonstration and demonstrators are not targeted, criminal activists with prior convictions are. Lets make this clear

@LilyDAmbrosioMP Not one point was correct, *majority of Victorians (less than 40% voted ALP)*renewables are not the cleanest, nuclear is * cheapest, no one’s bills have gone down, they are up * coal has proven reliable for decades F- for you Lily

Victorians voted for a renewable energy future - the cleanest and cheapest form of energy. We’re taking real action - replacing dirty, unreliable coal power with clean, government-owned renewable energy.

Preference distributions in two remaining doubtful seats today. Labor wins Bass and it’s 55 seats matching 2018 victory. Win Pakenham and it’s 56, bigger than 2018. #springst #vicvotes
