Seeing a lot of talk about ‘desperation’ from Boro. Yeah, the club is desperate… to ensure sporting integrity & reputation of game is maintained. No room for leniency - EFL must protect its brand & product. Not about Boro getting to a PO final now, albeit, it may be a byproduct

@pmgroom @EFL_Comms A large chunk of your fan base are of the opinion that you lost that game because of spying that took place the stats tell a very different story. Southampton should be punsihed but being replaced by Boro is not the answer. Their performances on the pitch don’t deserve it!

@Boropolis Anything less then Southampton been removed from the final and Middlesbrough replacing them is corruption at the highest and gives out a terrible message that cheating is acceptable and worth the risk

@EFL_Comms I'm a Boro fan, and I think Southampton should forfeit the first leg and thus be removed. THAT SAID, it's grossly unfair on their fans, who aren't the ones at fault, to sell them tickets and them not be able to get their money back if the club are punished.
