@TSA agents may be getting paid now, but here at @LGAairport the wait to get through screening is still TWO hours long this morning. Why? Partly because people are still showing up 3-4 hours before their scheduled flights. Side note: my family will miss our flight.

I was a big advocate for this program, but there was no urgency and bureaucracy ate any momentum… Four years later, and we have embedded $1.5T deficits and can’t point to much ROI.

Today is the anniversary of the passing of a remarkable American hero, Senator John McCain. I have most of his books in my library, many inscribed to me. He taught me (and so many others) that character really is destiny. I learned a great deal from him and revere his memory.
