@Google Tried to preorder the 512 pro model as soon as it was available, but was met with store errors for over an hour. Now it's removed from my cart and out of stock. This is rather infuriating and has me reconsidering whether I should purchase or recommend Pixels ever again.

@btopro On my Fedora laptop I use GPaste. You'd have to check and see if it's compatible with Ubuntu now that they've braces GNOME.

There are pieces of our directions that were OSX specific without me realizing. Now I'll actually be able to go through, by hand entering the commands and ensuring I can get everything setup on windows and ubuntu and osx (keeping that machine during the lappy transition).

Sent from Ubuntu 19 on a ThinkPad. I've checked in with Ubuntu I'd say every 2 years or so the last 8 just to say "is it time yet". During those check in's the driver and UX patterns have dramatically improved. This is why even when it doesn't win day 1, FOSS wins when UX wins.

@btopro Pretty sure there is one for the Debian system, which means you can use it on Ubuntu. Can also use some of the tweak tools to further unlock such things -- I think the one I used was called CopyQ or something like that...

@btopro I use LastPass and am trying out 1Password -- I am leaning toward sticking with LastPass. You can further secure the free tier of LastPass w/ a physical 2fa device, which appeals to me.

also what do people use for password managers? I have 1Password for awhile pre-subscription and I can't believe that password management costs between 36 and 60$ a year to run. It just sits there w/ encrypted files and I wont be hostage to that being osmething 1 pays for

@btopro I enjoy the logic gates and redstone mechanics toward "late game." Since my son loves MineCraft (we still play together as a relaxing father & son time activity), used these to teach him some logic and engineering principles.

I have never "got" the appeal of Minecraft in the multiple times I've attempted to play it. Not entirely sure why, probably just olds. But I told the boys we were only playing video games if we did it together. Minecraft came up and I decided to try figuring it out for once

I enjoy API development, and I cannot wait to play with different front-end frameworks... I'm thinking pure, W3C-spec web components. Anyone have thoughts?
