I’ve never seen a family in a cybertruck. Just an ugly dude by himself.

David Shoebridge slams Jillian Segal who refuses to release conflict of interest docs claiming they’re “private” Segal, stumbling, then claims her conflicts are actually “public” Shoebridge “if it’s public, why do you object to them being published?”🔥 Trainwreck💥 #auspol

I've watched more hours of senate estimates hearings than I'd ever care to admit, and I'm struggling to think of many people more visibly displeased at being in the chair than Paul Brereton

David Shoebridge tears up outgoing NACC Chief Paul Brereton after he refuses to confirm if will even give his resignation letter to the Senate-coz he’s unsure if it has “confidential" details🤔 Shoebridge “You only sent it yesterday” “Is it, or is it not confidential?”💥 #auspol

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it. Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying. Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence." Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter." Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter. They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies. That's the metered intelligence business model. And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

Hateful media and political rhetoric drives trans people out of public life and undermines rights as fundamental as work, education, and living as your authentic self. We will always call it out. 🏳️‍⚧️💚

Thirteen hundred of you took the time to complain to the NACC about their appalling mismanagement of the Robodebt referral. This is how the Commissioner talks about those complaints. How utterly shameful.

I asked the outgoing NACC Commissioner three times why he resigned. Three times the answer was "I refer you to my statement." The man tasked with holding others to account couldn't give a straight answer about his own conduct AGAIN.

Pope Leo XIV on AI: “Artificial intelligence needs to be disarmed. The word [disarmed] is strong I know, but deliberately chosen because this moment needs words capable of attracting attention, awakening consciences, and indicating paths forward for humanity.”
