Men, by the way, lying to a woman to get sex cancels out consent. If she agrees based on information you know isn’t true (who you are, your intentions, your situation), then their consent isn’t fully informed. The conditions they agreed to weren’t real, so the “yes” you got is built on deception. That’s why joking about lying to women to get them to agree to having sex with you is about removing her ability to make an honest choice about their own body. Consent isn’t just about getting a yes.
