Ticketmaster Canada will no longer allow tickets for concerts, sports, and other live events in Ontario to be resold above their original price starting next week. Ontario’s newly passed Bill 97 caps all resale ticket prices, including fees, service charges, and applicable taxes.

@axelverse_m @PopBase Well many fans DONT have money but still want to see their favorite artist. $1000 is many people’s entire rent for the month. I have been going to concerts for years and it has never been this bad where you can’t see people you like for a normal price.

@Emmispov @PopBase Many fans have money. Just because they have money doesn’t imply they are not a real fan. I’m willing to pay 1k to see Drake in Toronto for his iceman tour, now it’s going to be impossible to get and I’ll have to fly to somewhere else (not the same vibes as Toronto )

@axelverse_m @PopBase I’d rather accept the fact that a show sold out at a normal price than knowing so many tickets are being resold for prices that real fans can’t afford. I would be able to sit with the fact that I wasn’t fast enough to get a ticket than know tickets left are $1000+
