@Strandjunker Your "Pope" is a satanist. He is the Pope prophesied to be the right hand of the AntiChrist.

@StevenD1977 I don’t see any reason why this season doesn’t make him a better manager in the future. He’s clearly a decent manager as he’s won the league here & in Holland. This is the first time he’s faced adversity & you’d think someone as smart as him would learn from it.

@spiritofshankly Good one admin. Welcome.
I see Trump’s DoJ have opened up an investigation into the NFL’s subscription packages, as they feel fans are paying too much. I am looking forward to your support and your show of “solidarity” with the Trump administration, in due course.

Feel free to take a flag into hospitality Paul - see how long you last!
Paul McGrattan@PaulGrat1
If you want to take a flag to the match take a flag, support the team as you normally would, they need every bit of help from the fans to turnaround a two goal deficit against PSG. Don’t feel pressured not to by some fella with the face of Jeremy Corbyn tattooed on his arm.

@JacobStahler @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC I’m going to leave this now. Its clear that you don’t know what you’re talking about & aren’t interested in learning. If I had an interest in a sport played abroad I like to think I’d take on board what the people from there told me about the history & culture of the sport.
English

@ChrisW1001 @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC They were smaller. Though some capacities were listed higher and in come cases allowed to over crowd. Which in the end, didn't end well for those involved in some occasions. The average attendance was still under what it is today.
English

This is the start of supporter action ✊
We’ve told the club how we feel, let’s show them.
If they don’t act on this, then we’ll escalate every game until they do.
@LFC - listen to the heartbeat of the club and do the right thing #YNWA
Spion Kop 1906@SpionKop1906
Listen to the heartbeat. NO TO TICKET PRICE INCREASES
English

@JacobStahler @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC You just said that the ground’s were smaller & that it was physically impossible for attendances to have been higher then 🤷🏻. Most grounds had higher capacities then compared to now.
English

@ChrisW1001 @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC Around 62k or so. During standing room only for an FA cup match. That doesn't equate to more people going to ALL league matches in the 50s. Anfield is an anomaly.
English

@JacobStahler @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC Yes, I am. What’s Anfield’s record attendance and when was it?
English

@ChrisW1001 @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC Are you trying to say anfield had a higher capacity in 1950 than today? Average attendance was around 40k and record numbers were 60. Even at stadiums with a high capacity for standing they couldn't all hold as many as they do now.
English

@ChrisW1001 @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC Would as many people attend matches if TV coverage was the same as it were in the late 80s?
In the US. You could only watch United matches on ESPN at 2am in 2002
English

@ChrisW1001 @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC Would you get more gas in your mobile if the cost of oil was the same as it were in the late 80s?
English

@JacobStahler @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC Would they have had to pay those fees if clubs’ TV revenues had stayed roughly the same as they’d been in the late eighties?
English

@ChrisW1001 @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC You think RM and PSG were able to spend that money because of subscription TV?
English

@JacobStahler @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC Yes, its a total coincidence that transfer fees & wages started to balloon at exactly the same time that pay/subscription TV took a serious foothold in Europe.
English

@ChrisW1001 @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC 01 Zidane to RM wasn't TV money.
09 Ronaldo to RM wasn't TV money.
13 Bale to RM wasn't TV money.
16 Pogba to United might have been.
17 Neymar to PSG wasn't TV money.
18 Mbappe to PSG wasn't TV money.
19 Felix to Atleti wasn't TV money.
20 Havertz to Chelsea wasn't TV money.
English

@JacobStahler @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC No it didn’t. It was TV money. Ticket revenue is incidental relative to TV money, this is why the inflation in ticket prices is so egregious.
English

@JacobStahler @JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC What do you think has been the driver of that inflation?
English

@JordanMajor_ @spiritofshankly @LFC Inflation is not just local economic inflation. In 1990 the average transfer window was 40.95m. Last summer it was 3.6b which is an increase. It would take 90 1990 transfer windows to achieve the same spend.
English

@JacobStahler @spiritofshankly @LFC You are if you’re regularly flying to the UK at £2,000 a pop to go the match.
English

@JacobStahler @spiritofshankly @LFC Who has 4 season tickets? Your round trip (which you do regularly) costs more (not including the ticket price) than a season ticket. You’re pretty well off, that’s sound, well done- but just try having a bit of empathy for those who aren’t as privileged as you.
English

@ChrisW1001 @spiritofshankly @LFC How would you know how difficult it is to save for that or to make that decision. It's likely a similar percentage of income to the people who can attend every home match on a sheer % basis. 4 season tickets is around 4500/yr. My round trip flight is 1800+ the match ticket.
English

@JacobStahler @spiritofshankly @LFC To have the ability to regularly be flying to another continent to go the match is more than just ‘making choices’, and that’s fine, good for you. However, a bit of solidarity with the majority of the match going support wouldn’t go amiss.
English

@ChrisW1001 @spiritofshankly @LFC Attending every match. I'm choosing the former. As that's the current climate for success.
