Christ is Lord over ALL THINGS! I think that’s self explanatory. “which He will bring about at the proper time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of Lords,” 1 Timothy 6:15 “whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.” Romans 9:5

The problem I see is that both sides seem to straw man and misrepresent each other and that’s what causes the screaming matches. My wife had an ectopic pregnancy two weeks ago and she had to get her left tube and the baby removed because it had ruptured and she was bleeding internally. That’s a life saving measure—of course this should be legal, just not the rape, incest, and other reasons. I’ll grant that maybe some rape and incest cases don’t get reported and can make the numbers smaller—It still doesn’t change the fact that the majority of abortions are for other reasons.

I appreciate that, and I agree with you. People forget that most abortion is essentially used as birth control. In the case I mentioned, the mother's health would have been at risk, and the baby would very likely have been stillborn. I'm not even sure what she did would be called an "abortion" since the ending of the life of the child is not the point of the procedure.

I think my stance on abortion is logical with both side taken into consideration. Abortion is the act of ending the life of an unborn child — which I consider immoral and wrong based on evidences. Most abortions done statistically are for reasons outside of rape, incest and in life-threatening cases. That’s what I focus on — rape, incest, and the other reasons. I believe those reasons should be outlawed, but not life threatening reasons. If the mother is in danger, life saving measures should be taken—even if the child can’t be saved, we should save the life we already have.

Would be interested in your take on this: someone very close to me his pregnant, and the baby has Trisomy-13, which is a disease causing an 80% mortality rate in utero, and a 10% chance of living one year outside the womb. On the advice of her doctors, she decided to terminate the pregnancy.

Absolutely He does. God forgives all sin by the washing of the blood of Jesus. “And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11 And to the Christians who doubt, be like Christ and forgive, and call her a child of God and a sister in Jesus Messiah. “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:29-32 “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:26-29

She slept with more than 1000 men in just 12 hours. Now she got baptized and became a born-again virgin. Does Christianity forgive such women?

Earlier you said you can measure morality objectively, but now you’re saying moral standards change. Those aren’t the same claim. If moral standards change, then they aren’t objective—they’re relative. And if they’re relative, then your earlier appeal to “objective” measurement doesn’t actually ground morality as objective, only consistent within your own framework. So which is it—objective or changing?

You can measure outcomes objectively, but only relative to a goal you’ve chosen—and if that goal is subjective, then the moral conclusion is too. If your standard can change, then what’s “good” changes with it, which means it isn’t objectively true—just preference applied consistently.

@Christ_Guided @morphingdo68240 @InsaneCope Except I can objectivly measure out comes based on the subjective goals of my morality. Also injustice is not a moral judgment, it is a legal one.

If morality is subjective, then nothing is truly right or wrong, only personal preference. That means you can’t say things like injustice, abuse, or evil are actually wrong, only that you dislike them. But we all know that’s not how we live or speak. The moment we call something truly wrong, we’re appealing to a standard beyond ourselves. That’s why I don’t believe morality is just subjective.

@morphingdo68240 @InsaneCope Evolution might explain why we feel moral instincts, but it doesn’t explain why anything is objectively right or wrong. And the claim about Yahweh being “just a Canaanite deity” is debated—not settled fact. Reducing it to that oversimplifies both the history and the philosophy.

@InsaneCope she's right! Morality is a evolutionary group strategy! The opposite fact (The notion that it comes from YHWH, a deity from a Canaanite pantheon) is an insane cope.

@DrClownPhD I just beat Kingdom Hearts and the battles are absolutely brutal, especially the final battle. The final battle is an 8 phase gauntlet with no saves in between. So dying would be a rage worthy moment.

@TradMarriages You must forgive and neither must defraud the other with our bodies. If you are truly one body with your spouse then would you not forgive your left hand if it tremored and dropped a dish? or would you divorce yourself from it by cutting it off.

Socially, it's established that a wife absolutely cannot forgive her husband's infidelity. How does this relate to the expectation that a husband must absolutely forgive his wife for not wanting to lose weight, constantly having grievances against him, and being reluctant to sleep with him?

I was engaged at 21 & married less than two months later. This year we will celebrate our fourth anniversary. Our baby girl is almost 6 months old. The American dream starts with getting married and starting a family. The baby giggles & wild hair melt me. Thank you, God!
