It is becoming increasingly clear that Trump thought the US and Israel could launch attacks, take out Khamenei, and then turn around and get an immediate ceasefire from Iran. A serious miscalculation.
Many have been killed, including Iranian girls going to school, 4 US service members, and people in Israel, UAE, Bahrain, Pakistan, Kuwait, Lebanon, and Iraq. At least 600 dead so far.
Alliances are being strained, stockpiles are being depleted, and there is so little coordination that a friendly nation accidentally shot down three US jets.
There was no imminent threat. No need to launch this attack without Congressional approval, and clearly no follow-up plan. Already, the talk has changed from a 1 to 2-day operation to 4-5 weeks, and it could easily be much longer.
This is what happens when someone thinks he can do whatever he wants and others, particularly Congress, let him get away with it.

Fatemeh Mohammadbeigi, a member of Iran's Health Commission, stated that since the start of the US-Israeli attacks on Iran, nine medical centers have been targeted — five hospitals in Tehran and the rest in other cities — with Gandhi Hospital currently out of service following the previous US-Israeli attack.

Too many coaching errors today man. Hate for that to be the reason we lose #BlueJays

Feels like this is where, as a coach, maybe start adjusting better on the fly. #BlueJays

Classifying babies as guilty combatants in order to justify eradicating them, and arguing that an entire population of 2 million people (or however many are left) are legitimate targets for slaughter, was the foundation of the Nazi holocaust and every war crime in history:
Abby Libby@abbythelibb_
There are no civilians in Gaza. Hamas has drafted everyone, down to the newest babies, into the war effort, and they rejoice when the children they shove into the line of fire die because it's their most powerful weapon against those they hate more than life and blood.

BREAKING: Justin Trudeau is specifically asked if he believes that Trump's tariffs are an Act of War.
His answer is tremendous.
"Canadians are not angry at the American people for this. We don’t have anything against Americans. Americans are our neighbors, our friends, our partners. We do things together, we’ve done things together for decades and generations. This is a policy decision by the American government (Donald Trump), designed to go after the Canadian economy. This is a trade war — yes. But Canadians are hurt, Canadians are angry. We’re going to choose to not go on vacation to Florida or Old Orchard Beach or wherever. We’re gonna choose to try to buy Canadian products and forgo bourbon and other classic American products. We’re probably going to continue booing the American National Anthem. But let me tell Americans — we’re not booing you, we’re not booing your teams, we’re not booing your players -- we’re booing a policy that is designed to hurt us."
How can anyone view Trump as the good guy in this Trade war?

Dear Ontario Premier Doug Ford (@fordnation),
My 10-year-old son was identified with a need last year and had to change public schools.
I now bike him 2.2km to school in the mornings and he bikes home alone.
We use the 8-year-old Bloor Street bike lanes which make the roads safe for him to do this.
With the roads full of Amazon delivery vans, speeding Ubers, massive buses, and whizzing food delivery e-bikes my son was nervous to bike alone.
We got him a rear view mirror and bike lights and practiced together a few times.
He uses the Bloor Street bike lanes which are full of many other kids riding to and from school.
You are now proposing to spend $48M in provincial taxpayer money (1) to overrule the wishes of the City of Toronto (2, 3, 4) to rip out these bike lanes, which you know pose a direct safety threat. (5)
If this happens we’ll need to ask his grandfather to pick him up in his car.
I’ll likely start driving him in the morning more since his grandfather's car can’t fit his bike on the way home.
Instead of what we need and want—*more* bike lanes that are proven to ease congestion, traffic, and pollution (6)—you’re proposing I spend more money, use more gas, spew more fumes, get less exercise, and create more car traffic.
In 2017 you spoke about bike lanes on @TVO and said: "You're nervous when there's no bike lanes. At least I was. We have to make sure there's never a death in the city. One death is way too many when it comes to bicycle riders. I felt so much safer when it's separated." (7)
Please reverse course here.
Keep the bike lanes.
It’s not too late.
Thank you,
Neil Pasricha
