The Incredible Hok
The Incredible Hok@Josh_HokitUFC·
If the UFC really wanted to save the sport, we need a UFC sanctioned Hell in a Cell 2V2 w/ no referees. Imagine The Incredible Hok & @BorrachinhaMMA vs. Chechen gangster aka (25 min crotch sniffer) & the guy who talks about fighting to the death, then proceeds to spam jabs & teeps while screaming like a madman the last 10 seconds of his fights. Chance to take out a Foreign Tr-ist & Domestic Tr-ist in one night. Paulo & I do it for JESUS, DJT & the free world. We are all close to the same size when not cutting weight. Fight to the death. Winners get Conor level money the rest of their careers.

Happiness and pleasure are good and pain and death are bad. That is objective. Sometimes you have to use self discipline and exercise self control to achieve genuine happiness. I don't cheat on my partner, drink, smoke or use illicit drugs; obey the law and treat others with kindness and honesty.

@herrison094 @thepopecast "Tradition is the real authority and the Pope just interprets it" sounds very Catholic and serious until you ask: who interprets Tradition then? SSPX answers: us. That's just Protestantism.

THIS MAN, not Archbishop Lefebvre, is a hero for breaking from the SSPX when it undoubtedly was detrimental to him in the near term. The FSSP has its own problems, to be sure, but obedience and homage to Peter is always the right answer.

@Converted84 @ArchangeloRom @orthoanbheanin Catholic doctrine states that the Holy See is indefectible, therefore it cannot fall. Sedevacantism is Protestantism with sacraments. No, Fiducia Suplucans does not bless same-sex couples but individuals.

Question for Roman Catholics: What would you do if hypothetically the Vatican declared female ordination legitimate? What would you do if they declared the Eucharist is purely symbolic?

Christian Myths Consubstantiality Earliest Christians did not start with Jesus as literally the same being as God. They drew on Jewish ideas about divine agents, figures given God’s name and authority who could act and speak for God, like the Angel of YHWH in the Hebrew Bible. Different NT authors used different models. Paul often frames Jesus like a divine agent. Mark presents him as declared or adopted Son at baptism. John moves toward the idea of the Word as God’s expression. The full philosophical explanation took centuries of debate to develop. Creation Ex Nihilo The idea that God created everything from nothing developed later. Many ancient philosophers believed nothing comes from nothing, so matter was often assumed to be eternal alongside the divine. In the second century writers like Tatian, Theophilus, and Irenaeus argued that all matter ultimately came from God. These debates eventually shaped the doctrine of creation out of nothing, even though earlier biblical texts often assume pre existing matter. Form of God In Bible times many people thought God had a body even when they called him spirit. This was not always just metaphor. Some texts describe God in human form and portray him as male and human shaped, though the exact details vary by author, genre, and context. Later Greek influenced thinkers like Origen and Maimonides argued that God cannot be material. Since then theologians have had to explain why the Bible so often speaks about God’s body while holding to a more philosophical idea of divine immateriality. Strict Monotheism Early Israelites and Christians understood gods through tradition, scripture, and their circumstances. Early Israelite religion often looked similar to the religious world around them. Over time writers emphasized YHWH above other gods, especially during periods of political and cultural pressure. Even as this shift happened other gods still appear in biblical texts. Clear philosophical claims that other gods simply do not exist developed more gradually after the biblical period. Hell Most of the Hebrew Bible does not contain a developed concept of hell or eternal punishment after death. Ideas of reward and punishment beyond death appear later, especially between the Persian and Hellenistic periods and in traditions like 1 Enoch. By the NT the picture is still diverse with different images and expectations. Later Christian and medieval theology developed more detailed ideas of hell. God Breathed What was 2 Timothy 3:16 saying. The author writing in Paul’s name was not claiming the Bible was inerrant. The passage praises the Jewish scriptures and their usefulness for teaching, correcting, and training. Written during debates about the role of scripture among early Christians, it focuses on the practical authority of the texts rather than defining a doctrine of inerrant inspiration.

There's no such thing as Mormonism any more than Protestantism or Catholicism or Othodoxism. Christianity is a category of all those who see Jesus Christ as the sole path out of this mess we are in. With over 40,000 sects, and growing, there is no universal understanding beyond the "Good News" that we have a Savior in Jesus Christ as written in the New Testament. Christ Himself defined His disciples as accounted for in the Gospels. His disciples came to be known as Christians. That's it... Nothing more, nothing less.

@sola_chad @jwlmd2000 St Paul said "hold fast to all we have taught you, whether by word of mouth or by letter." The New Testament was never held to be the sole source of Christian doctrine until the rise of Protestantism 1500 years after Christ founded the Church.

The adulation a Roman Catholic gets for defending CoJCoLDS from a Baptist. 🤷‍♂️🤪 Only on X. Interestingly, Virginia does have something of a point. As @ThoughtfulSaint noted several times in his chat with @conservmillen, RCs (and Orthodox, included 1-2x) understand the concept of “ordinance” (the closest analogue is “sacrament”) and the ministration of those ordinances through an ordained priesthood, which are integral to the life of the HS in the Church, which are “efficacious for salvation”. That much sounds familiar. Does that mean LDS are “way closer to correct”? Well, that requires identifying what all the authoritying and ordinancing is about. “Way closer”? I would love to hear on what basis Virginia makes that argument.
Virginia Hansen 🇻🇦@Virgini23166650

@conservmillen Catholic here. Please bear in mind that your version of the "gospel" is wrong and was invented 500 years ago. The Mormon idea is way closer to correct.
