I was inside my room when I overheard some little barracks children having a conversation. Boy A: Is it your daddy that buy you this one too? Boy B: Yes, he came back yesterday...we cook plenty rice, my mummy was now dancing. Boy A: My own daddy has not come back, mummy said he has been promoted so he will not come back for many years, but he will be taking care of us. Boy B: But my own daddy came back na, and he was promoted too. Boy A: My mummy said, my daddy senior everybody in the barracks, so he is the one paying the supreme price in the operation, that he is a very strong man. Boy B: Maybe if my daddy too go next time he will be promoted and won't come back like your daddy. They both said YES with Joy in their tone. I got so teary in my room while looking at them through the window...boy A has been deceived, he's never going to see his father again, and innocent boy B is wishing the same for his dad 💔😭 Many children grew up with similar stories like this.

Some of you avoid your friends when you don’t have money because it feels humiliating. Some of you cut off your friends when they don’t have money. Even if you can’t help your friend’s situation, they don’t have to carry the burden alone. “I don’t have N500k to give you, but we gather dey. The little I have , we can share it.” A simple conversation and the awareness that they are not alone, could stop a person from going depressed, committing suicide or drowning mentally.

Just saw a TikTok where the lady was saying, When I was 19 years old, I was married. One day my husband put his hands on me. A week later I told him I wanted a separation. He seemed ok with it. I took a nap. I woke up to being stabbed literally in the back. In total I was stabbed and sliced 12 times. I managed to convince him to call help for me while I sat bleeding to death. It took 30 hours of surgery and 4 blood transfusions to save my life. I walked away with 100k in medical bills. He did 12 years in prison. He was on bond for two years while awaiting sentencing for stabbing me. While he was on bond, he raped a minor. He took a plea bargain for both stabbing me and the rape. 15 years for stabbing, 10 for rape. To be served concurrently. He served 85% as is the law in South Carolina. His name is Michael Francis Vanderlick and he is on the North Carolina Sex Offender registry .

I'm sorry, gay couples should not be allowed to adopt babies. You opted out of God's natural plan. You don't get to confuse a child and mess their life up because you are confused and your life is messed up.

Nobody’s really calling out how MTN might be ripping people off… I’ve noticed my data finishes way too fast even when I barely use it. So I bought 10GB, turned off my mobile data immediately, and switched to WiFi. Just 2 hours later, I checked my balance and somehow I was left with 6GB… how does that even make sense? Everyone don see Nigerians finish because we always take everything and adapt 🤦‍♂️

When I started working in the bank, my parents lived in Alakuko, so I used to commute from home every day. I would wake up as early as 3am, leave the house before 5am, and sometimes get home by 12am if there was traffic… This particular day, one of my colleagues cooked beans… if you’re a banker, you’ll understand that kind of “beans” 😂 the type that everybody in the branch must eat from. It was a shortage of 500k, so we had to rally around because our BOM insisted the money must be cleared. That kept me very late at work, and I couldn’t travel back to Alakuko that night. I took a bus to Obalende, my plan was to look for a church to sleep in… one thing my mum always told us is that if we are stranded, we should look for a church for shelter. I walked around Obalende and luckily, I saw a white garment church (C&S). I entered and greeted them, but the pastor said they had received a message earlier in the week not to accept any stranger into the church. I left… Then I saw a small bus outside the church, so I entered and sat there because at that point, I didn’t know what else to do. I was even thinking of getting a hotel when a boy came out… he looked about 23–25. He was the son of the woman from the church. He came outside and told me to sneak in. He and his mum took me to a room called ile abo and offered me a net and a mat. That was how I slept there… although I couldn’t sleep till daybreak because I was scared 😔 In the morning, he had already gotten me a new toothbrush. I also got a new dress and changed into it. We exchanged numbers and became very close. He was like a brother to me… That same month, when I got my salary, I bought 5 white garment materials for them. One day, I went to work as usual, and one of my customers mentioned he was looking for a receptionist. I asked for the pay and told him I had a brother who just graduated. He gave me his email address and asked him to send him an email and mention my name. I couldn’t even wait till after work… I called him during my break. He prepared his CV and sent it immediately. He went for the interview a week later and got the job… the pay was 180k for a start That same customer later relocated to the USA in 2024, but before he left, he referred him for an accountant role in one of the big companies on the island. He said my brother was a great guy and he could vouch for him. Today, he’s doing so well for himself, taking care of his family… they no longer live in church anymore 🥹 When I was travelling, he sent me 300k as his own support. There’s no week we don’t FaceTime… We spoke last night when he asked if he should relocate to Germany or the UK for his master’s… he got admission in both countries. I know he’s going to do great things. Anyways, that call was the reason I remembered this story… and I thought to share ❤️ You really never know how far a small act of kindness can go ❤️

A goal oriented mindset can create an arrival effect. Manny work hard for months, but as soon as they cross the finish line, they stop training. The purpose of setting goals is to win the game. The purpose of building systems is to continue playing the game. Goal setting without a proper system is not good enough. Having a system running is best for to lasting long without an arrival mentality

It's normal to give up. Giving up is a skill. Don't hold on too much. Understand when to give up and not hold on for long. Know when to give up on the business Know when to give up on the relationship Know when to give up on the friend Know when to give up on the marriage. If you keep holding on you won't know when you will give up the ghost and you will give up the ghost without your permission or anyone's permission. The idea is all idea cannot grow. There are people in your life that are draining you - give up!

One of the most painful experience I have ever felt was when I went to Abuja last month I requested uber from my apartment to get food. Trip cost was 2500 naira. Uber guy arrived and decided to branch filling station to buy fuel before heading to destination… He asked for 5k fuel and I was quite surprised he asked for a fuel that small considering his tank was empty empty. I asked him why so and he said country is hard and he was struggling. So I asked the fuel guys to fill up his tank which cost approx 70k. In addition to that I also gave him 50k as a gift. He told me I should always feel free to contact him if I ever need a ride and I asked if he was free next day cos my flight was for 7am. He said sure. Next day he picked me up and dropped me off and to my greatest suprise man asked me to pay double the fare to airport because ‘he picked me up early’ My life flashed twice. I couldn’t believe what I heard. Humans are ungrateful and tbh everyday I am reminded that the major reason some people are far from their blessings is simply because they are unwilling to make sacrifices or just simply pain greedy. Till today I still have that flashback and I get angry over again when I remember it. Not exactly angry because of the money given because I mean I did so with zero expectation and will do so again and again but because it hurts soo much that said young man just lost a beautiful opportunity to know me better and probably get an opportunity to work with me beyond that day. GREED sealed his fate It is well.

🚨 Vincent Kompany on people appreciating him: “Don't believe the hype, don't believe the drama”. “When I arrived here at Bayern, I'd been promoted with 101 points, then relegated with 20, then won the league here – two years ago I was the worst manager and today I’m the very best”. “If you let yourself be influenced by all that noise, you’ll end up getting worse. It’s nicer this way, but I can live with criticism. It really doesn't matter to me”.

I stopped yelling at my kids for a week. Here’s what I noticed: we were late to school every single day they didn’t clean up a single thing they didn’t shower they didn’t do their homework they looked homeless I tried gentle parenting. They responded like tiny union workers on strike. Turns out my “yelling” was really just the family notification system.

The guy collecting money in the danfo I boarded this morning was not the conductor. He was just a passenger the driver trusted. No conductor on board so the driver asked the guy by the door to help collect. He collected from everybody. Nobody had received change yet. We hit traffic. He stepped out quietly to check what was causing the hold up. Nobody suspected anything. Traffic cleared. Werey don japa with the money. The whole bus went silent. Driver's money gone. Everyone's change gone. The driver just sat there staring at the road.
