A neighbor of ours who is older and has Parkinson's tripped outside of his house today and hit the concrete on his face. My husband ran to him to help, he saw the whole thing. The man's daughter came rushing home from work. Please keep him in your prayers, his name is Wayne.

I mean, peanuts it just makes sense that there’s probably a lot of friction between the nuts, but avocados?

I’m not sure what’s worse, that I didn’t know we should be changing the oil in our avocados or that TIL there’s a specific oil for just that purpose.

Two years ago, I was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, and given six months to a year to live. I spent the past two years, trying numerous forms of treatment; radiation, chemo, a couple different kinds of targeted drug therapy, immunotherapy, and surgeries. I, also kept power over my health where I could do so. I fired my first oncologist who didn’t include me in the decision making. She basically viewed me as The Walking Dead. I found an oncologist who thought outside of the box and completely believed in my power to fight. I didn’t stop working out. I cut sugar from my diet (Keto), And I turned my worries to God. My body is bruised and beaten but my oncologist has informed me today that my latest CT-Scan with contrast, shows no active cancer. I’m not ringing any bell; I know the likelihood of reoccurrence is a strong probability. Yet, this is a major triumph that I want to share with my many friends on here who supported me. I appreciate all of your prayers and love. 🤍🙏🏼🤍

I lost my mom today. She was supposed to be released from the hospital this afternoon but had unexpected complications this morning left us with this giant hole in our hearts. I’m sorry, mom. This world got a lot darker without you in it and my life will never be the same.

@DissidentFrau I would call your Dr as soon as you can. Totally understand wanting to avoid the ER at all costs. Dental work is the worst pain I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot on my end. My heart goes out for you and I’m continuing prayers.

The pain is getting a little better but the swelling and numbness around the area is worse after starting antibiotics. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Should I just go to the ER today? Normally wouldn’t ask the internet but I try and avoid the ER due to my cancer and immune issues.

Worst tooth infection of my life has spread around my mouth. Broken tooth was neglected due to my mother’s stroke. I have had ongoing oral reconstructive surgeries since my jaw was locked shut from the car crash in 2009. Dentist refused extraction, requiring “clearance” from oncology to say it’s ok to operate as the tooth requires my gums to be cut open. Dentist lectured me about the dangers of sugar and the apologises when he reads I was in a near fatal car crash and that’s what ruined my teeth. Very cool. Face is swollen and has a pulse even after 24 hrs on antibiotic. I swear I’ve never experienced pain like this in my life, I still cannot move my bottom lip. Oncology refuses to give clearance. Yes, really. Making me drive an hour there in order to wait over the weekend and then come back with “approval to proceed.” Awake for 50 hours by this point, pacing and crying. Cat is comforting me. Dentist flat out tells me he will not prescribe narcotics for pain medicine, even though my history shows I do well with pain medicine/chronic cancer pain relief, I’m allergic to NSAIDS. Yes, really. L Fails to tell me they are closed today. PCP office hears me crying and fights for me, gets a different doctor to prescribe a day or two worth of pain medicine. Says he left an “educating and corrective” message for the young dentist. Self soothing by saying “it will be ok” over and over times 100. I’m going to try and sleep again.

@DissidentFrau Ohhhhh no, oral surgery (imo) is one of the worst. I’m lifting you up in prayer. 🙏🏻❤️‍🩹 When nothing seems to help my own pain I try to calm down by listening to bilateral beats with headphones. YouTube has some great playlists. dM me if you’d like me to send. 🙏🏻

My right ear is hurting so badly. Tried Sudafed. Tried Zyrtec. Poured some peroxide in. Still hurts. Still feels full. I’ll be damned if I’m breaking my “no doctor visits since 2019” over a friggin ear ache. The dizziness is annoying…and less than ideal. Thoughts?
