Wemby looks exhausted. Has only played 38+ minutes in a game 6x all season. Very curious to see how he holds up stamina-wise in this series going every other day against a team full of athletes.

Everyone wants to talk about Victor Wembanyama's 12 blocks last night, but the real story is how horrendous he was offensively. I don’t want to hear the age excuse, he deserves plenty of blame for this loss

@jasonwhitlock Again, when you are forced to play hard at both ends, and you are playing past your normal managed minutes, your legs go, leading to missed shots. He missed because he had to work his ass off all game, and he was noticeably tired. Great game plan by Minnesota.

@MaximeAubin1 That was almost exactly how I figured that they would attack him. They managed his minutes all year, he looked tired at the end. Plus Minnesota can toss several bigs at him as well. This is not a good matchup for San Antonio.

Wemby’s blocks do end the possession a lot of times though. That’s his best strength: not only blocking the shot, but recovering and keeping the ball. On his 12 blocks last night, the Spurs got it back 8 times. Attacking him like that did tire him out though. That’s for sure. Wemby just kept going at it.
