Today i got cleared to take my first steps from surgery. Today is the start of a new chapter because i’ve never walked with 2 good knees and no equipment. Today starts the day of me being able to achieve all of my dreams of being an NFL reporter. not a better place to celebrate then an NFL stadium. @Colts @NFL In the words of Dave Grohl “learning to walk again I believe i’ve waited long enough where do I begin” @foofighters

@WasteManagement Your customer service told me in the chat I would have a new toter next week, that it was impossible to get one to us any sooner, nothing else could be done. Extremely disappointing. I am looking for other providers in our area.

Hey @WasteManagement I have been on hold for an hour and 45 minutes now trying to get a new toter since my current one was covered in animal feces picked up from one of your trucks this morning. How do I get this resolved?

@gtconboy Fantastic. You gave me a few moments of your time as well a few years back. I’d say it worked out ok.

Received this email in 2016, wherein I am a self-absorbed jerk but still manage to provide a bit of inspiration to a young guy with intelligence (a common trait) and ambition (the critical one). I have no right to be proud of this guy, but I am. Now and then I come across it and share it here. Be nice to people, and keep your shoes clean. You never know: I anticipate that you have no recollection of who I am, but I certainly remember you. We met in Rochester NY at (redacted) restaurant about 8-9 years ago where you came in as a customer and I was a runner at the time and busboy (a runner is the guy that literally runs customers’ orders to either the waitress when they are available or straight to the table when they are busy, and a busboy cleans the table when a customer is done and we need the table for another customer. I should mention that in less than 3 years I started at the lowest position, busboy, and worked my way up to the highest position at that restaurant, grill-master; the individual that runs the whole kitchen line, because I always believed it didn’t matter how low your position might be, you should always excel.), and I ran your food to your table because your server was occupied at the time. After I served your table I lingered around because of your shoes and as I write this I realize how funny that sounds. But your shoes were shiny and looked expensive, so as a poor minority myself with parents that never attained a high school education, I was intrigued. I finally built up the courage after several minutes to walk up to your table and ask the burning question. I asked if you were a judge, because in my limited mind at the time, the highest level a person that could afford expensive shoes was either a lawyer or judge. So I asked if you were a judge. You chuckled and said “no, why do you ask?’. I replied “well you have very shiny and expensive shoes so I thought you might be a judge that could afford those shoes.” And I will never forget, you looked at me and said “no, a judge couldn’t afford these shoes”. You asked me to stay to chat a while and you asked me what my position was and where I was a student and I replied that I was an undergraduate at the (redacted) studying Psychology. You asked if I had ever considered a career in business and I said I wasn’t very good at math; you laughed and replied “I am in business, and I do all my math on a calculator.” You then reached into your pocket and handed me your business card and asked that I call you when I graduate from (redacted) for a job in business, because according to you “it has less to do with math than it does with simple business.” I kept your card all these years, not really sure why. But I am writing to you today to say that I graduated from (redacted) with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, philosophy, and legal studies. I also continued on to earn a Master’s of Science in Business as well as an MBA in Competitive Strategy and Finance from that very same school. You inspired me to chase a career in business and 8-9 years later I now work in Washington DC as a Management Consultant for a consulting firm specializing in strategy, finance and operations engagements for F500 companies. I don’t expect you to remember our interaction but I wanted to let you know that our brief interaction in that restaurant on that day, inspired by your shoes, was a pivotal moment in my life, in me chasing a dream in business as the first and only person in my family to graduate from a top undergraduate institution, and earning two master’s degrees in pursuit of a life that would provide me the opportunity to buy shiny expensive-looking shoes which to me, in that restaurant on that day, was the symbol of success. I just wanted to say Thank You. You didn’t ridicule nor demean me, you simply gave me a choice. Thank You. I hope that you are well Mr. Conboy.

A big thank you to Alan the owner of Metro Signs, Wraps, & Tint for having us today. He taught us a lot about wrapping cars and doing tints . The fellas asked a lot of great questions . Im seeking local businesses that would be willing to offer tours every Thursday. My aim is to introduce kids to a wide range of industries, helping them explore the various career possibilities available as they grow older.

Real winners in the LIV Golf, PGA Tour deal appear to be the golfers that left PGA for LIV, got huge paydays, and will now be able to play PGA tour events again. Am I missing something? Mickelson, Koepka, D. Johnson, etc get huge paydays to go to LIV, now part of PGA again. WOW
