Six strict pull-ups is a decent baseline for an ordinary person. It is not close to Navy SEAL standard. For SEAL pipelines, pull-ups are usually judged against the PST-style benchmark. Historically, the minimum passing number is around 10 dead-hang pull-ups, but minimum is a trap. Competitive candidates are usually well above that, often in the mid-to-high teens or more. So six means you are below even the usual floor for a serious shot. Plainly: •6 pull-ups = respectable civilian shape •10 = bare minimum territory •15 to 20+ = where you start looking more credible for that lane And that is only one gate on the fence. SEAL screening also leans hard on swim time, push-ups, sit-ups, running, durability, recovery, and the old iron law: how well you perform when tired, cold, wet, and annoyed by life.
