I came from a family where abuse is the order of the day, where you're threatened to stay quiet if you ever speak up about being sexually abused, or guilttripped to believe it is your/their fault that you or anyone are being sexually abused, and even up to this day, i have deep hatred towards people who treats sexual abuse as jokes or irrelevant. It hurts me so deeply because I know very much how difficult life would have been for that young girl that died. Even survivals live in so much trauma.
I survived, many did not survive.
I see lots of girls of that age being sexually abused growing up and I had wished to revenge all of them.
Even till date, I keep my children far from families, because I'm still tagged as unforgiving, not forgetting... how can I forget such? Nobody apologized, nobody confessed or repent of the evil.
Please, Winnifred, you seem like one of those family members who feign innocence but enjoy to see evil thrive.
For what it's worth, the death of that little girl will not go unpunished.
Every soul that defiles her till she died will die a painful death and the birds of the air will devour their carcass

I have taken time to reflect before speaking on the ongoing conversations linking my name to the Ochanya matter. I strongly condemn all forms of sexual abuse and gender-based violence. No individual, especially a child, should ever be subjected to such harm, and I stand firmly for accountability, truth, and justice in all such cases. I have seen many things being said about me online, some of which are not accurate or do not fully reflect what actually happened at the time. I understand the emotions surrounding this matter, but I also believe it is important that narratives are not built on assumptions or incomplete information. For clarity, in 2013, I was a student in boarding school in SS2 and had only just gone on vacation after my mock examinations. At the time, I was about 12 years old and was not present at the location where these events are being alleged to have occurred. This has been established in the course of legal processes. I did not witness any act of abuse as has been suggested in some narratives, and this position has also been reflected in the legal proceedings connected to this matter. At the time of these events, I was not in a position of authority or control over the situation. Where I had concerns, I did not ignore them, but the way events unfolded afterward was not within my control. All relevant information and documentation supporting my position exist within the appropriate legal channels and can be made available where properly required by lawful authorities. I recognise that people are asking questions, and I understand why. However, I respectfully ask that conclusions are not drawn without a full and fair understanding of the facts. This experience has taken a significant toll on my mental and overall well-being, and I have had to seek medical and professional support during this period. I remain firm in my truth. I would never witness anything of this nature and remain silent. I understand deeply the importance of speaking up for what is right. This is a sensitive matter that has already gone through legal processes, and I will not be making statements that could misrepresent that process or reopen wounds for those directly affected. I ask for fairness, restraint, and compassion in how this conversation continues. Thank you.

A dark side to this story nobody's talking about is that Wini's father was our lecturer back in Benue and his major target were freshers, 15 to 17 yr old girls who newly gain admission. He was a very popular molester to the extent rumours said he used charm on all those girls. He's a very wayward man, always had an erection, and slept with his students under pressure.
Many got pregnant by him and were forced to abort. I have stories for date but it's left for his victims to speak up and share their experiences, not me.
His son specialised in targeting admission seekers promising them his father would give them admission, in exchange for sex. This whole family is demonic I can't go on.

Now, this is the first time I'm going to say this.
WINIFRED IS 100 PER CENT AWARE OF HIS FATHER AND BROTHER RÀPING OCHANYA SINCE SHE WAS 8 YEARS.
let me say something shocking that y'all don't know.
Winifreds family is a top family in their community and also learned. Some of her relatives are not opportuned to go to school and get educated ,let alone be financially buoyant.
Ochanya would have been 25 years of age, same with winifred.
The shocking thing is that Winifreds family saw Ochanya as a competition to winifred, Cos she was intelligent, smart, outspoken, and her dream profession was to be a lawyer same as Winifred.
They saw her as a competition. She was doing better in grades than winifred. They wanted winifred to be ahead of her in everything. Hence, they kept jumping classes for her.
The best way they could dìm her light was to rapè her. First perpetuated by her brother, then her father. Which winifred knew on the first day ,same with her mom.
It was an act borne out of envyy, competition, and greed.
Same winifred got into law school with a governmental help.

It wasn't winifreds decision to come back just this way. But she has been looking for the best time to come back.
Her friend stated that she has asked for advice from her circle here, especially the guys, and they told her that she should take the boldness to sneak in at any time.
She was then notified by her male circle of friend who's one of the top accounts here to use the opportunity of yesterday where men were paròding women and "talking hatè about women" she was notified on Tuesday night by this friend. Wasn't her choice as she's still scared.
The problem she had with core feminìsts was that they think she disrespected them by making a jest out of the jokes about women...
Like I said earlier, the women here would be the determinant of how extreme this case would go.
