This is the industry I work in, and I know BC has some of the poorest, if not the worst, legislated protection for at-risk species in Canada. It’s insane that the legislation has essentially been the same for 25 years.

He says one thing during a campaign, and completely changes his tune once he feels he’s gotten what he needs. He is a stereotypical slimy politician, and he’s a liar. “For me, that’s the charge. He’s an out-and-out liar.” -David Suzuki

FFS “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.” -Maya Angelou @JustinTrudeau used to disappoint me, but he has shown his true colours time and time again. His actions don’t back up his words. He doesn’t care about reconciliation.

Feds appeal ruling in Indigenous child welfare case. Appeal is of a Federal Court ruling that upheld a Human Rights Tribunal finding that gov't discriminated against First Nations children by underfunding an on-reserve child welfare system. Previous story: cbc.ca/1.6228999

When reading about a country always remember to not confuse the political leadership with the country's people.

There is no such thing as strategic voting. You either show your support for policies you want or policies you don’t want. Fewer votes for policies you want means those policies become less and less relevant by the day. #cdnpoli

I truly love this song. So much I got my interpretation of it tattooed on myself. And was once escorted out of a @TheKimMitchell concert for jumping on stage in the middle of go for a soda to show him said tattoo.

Mentioned on @checkupcbc the immense popularity of- and backlash to - the song Patio Lanterns. Then the singer himself, Kim Mitchell, called in. In a classic Canadian moment, he thanked us for the mention and said he could relate to people who have heard the song too many times.

Your constituents didn’t elect another party member, so at least show them a little respect. Ms. Atwin was elected, in part, for her feeling of betrayal when @JustinTrudeau broke his promise on electoral reform. If you were my MP, I’d feel like this was a slap in the face

After hearing of @JenicaAtwin’s decision to cross the floor from the @CanadianGreens to the @liberal_party, I’m compelled to restate my opinion: if you chose to leave the party under which you were elected, that’s fine, but sit as an independent until the next election #cdnpoli

Trudeau became PM in 2015. On his desk was the Sinclair report and its calls to action for truth and reconciliation. He had the Deschamps report and its recommendations to root out sexists and racists from the CAF. Then came six years of gestures with no action.

I really how this starts to get more people’s attention; I work in the environmental industry and can say that BC has some of the weakest laws in the country when it comes to protecting our natural ecosystems.
