A predicament for @churchofengland when so many of the bishops you could have a theological conversation with are about to retire, or have just retired. Really, the situation is dire, and just when people – young inquirers in particular – want theological depth. 1/2

Hahaha CofE apron-gate has given me a real chuckle. Rare on this site these days. Sensational work from all involved. Thank you.

I’ve noticed quite a few Society priests with this apron on this Christmas - does anyone know what it means? I’m particularly interested in what they mean by ‘advance’. #MutualFlourishing

Our final full day together at the Oswestry Eucharistic Congress. Hope does indeed abound. Much good cheer, love, and encouragement & that greatest of clergy traps is largely absent… cynicism. There is much to be excited about and much to look forward to.

@chinmj Reminds me of the incumbent of the affinity grouping of St Laurence, Long Eaton and Holy Trinity, Ilkeston (Derby Diocese) who drives through the Northern Province every Sunday morning to reach Ilkeston.

As far as I can see from my research, the parish is unique in having an exclave which you need to cross Provincial boundaries to reach!

Fans of Ecclesiastical parish oddities - I present to you Kinnerton. A detached part of the Parish of Old Radnor (the main part of the parish is to the south). A part of a Church of England parish entirely surrounded by land in the Church in Wales.
