🎓 Last week, I officially graduated with a PhD in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Malawi. This followed my earlier graduation with a PhD in Immunology from the University of Liverpool in July las Pursuing dual PhDs was both challenging and rewarding.

Thank you UNC Project Malawi for recognising my achievement in securing a research grant. It has been a wonderful year post my PhD completion, I have managed to secure 2 grants (Fogarty and IMPAACT) for my research work. @UNCMalawi

It's their highest research achievement ever!
But @ASTMH is $4500 away frm Malawi, which I don't have.

5 years is a VERY LONG time for a paper to be under review.
That was the case for our recently published paper in Nature.
Submitted in 2018 and published in 2023
What do you do as an early career researcher while waiting for a very important paper to be published ?
