Carol, lead of the CICADA study, will be describing the influences that led her to do studies like CICADA and will include something on CICADA itself (and other similar studies) in this special lecture. We hope some of you can make it!

Happy to announce my professorial inaugural - all welcome. While advertised as academic with an academic summary, I plan to make it fun and enjoyable for all (with a serious take home message). Hope to see you there! eventbrite.co.uk/e/where-extern…

The difference between 1.5°C & 3°C global warming means vastly different scenarios for the future. Our survival on this planet hinges on these few degrees. Addressing the climate crisis & limiting temperature rise is possible, if we #ActNow. un.org/actnow via @UNFCCC

Our realist review (co-led by @hm_jennings) on mechanisms for participatory mental health is only possible, if it's also participatory. Theory of change validation across a range of settings helps make sure that what we argue, matters to the people we are arguing for.

In the last 2 years I have been involved in research on participation and mental health. Held a validation workshop on the Theory of Change we developed. Research done in Zim, India and Nepal. We do not have adequate and appropriate services in rural communities. @thewrittenro

When it comes to health and social care, disabilities and chronic illnesses often create disproportionate barriers for ethnic minority groups. Learn about how @CicadaStudy is using research and knowledge exchange to mitigate these impacts. #UKDHM bit.ly/3BLSz8s

'Be More Resilient'. As a psychologist, it was a surprise to me when parents started telling me how much they hated the word 'resilience'. To me it sounded like a good word, an empowering one. Not to them. Here's what they tell me. (with @_MissingTheMark) 1/

Usually when things get costlier, people want less. But @aksoyundan & Gambetta look at the natural experiment of 45 years of changing Ramadan fast times in @ASR_Journal & find religion is different. New #Frontiers in Social & Behavioral Science 🧵⬇️ ssrc.org/frontiers/
