@PolygonalShivs I was thinking about this after looking at Insomniac's hacked release schedule. How do they even know there's going to be an appetite for this stuff in seven fucking years? How can companies adjust to changes in the market when production is so slow and heavy?

I know it's not new information that vidoegames are absolutely fucking cooked but God never intended for 6/10 superhero games to require 6+ fucking years of development, this is all completely insane

@lingerie_addict Only skincare I remember seeing ads for, that were marketed towards teens back in the late 90s/esrly 00s was anti-pimple creme. Thinking it over, I do somewhat blurrily remember models for make-up getting younger, when it was more of a mixed bag before then.

We can’t discuss how the internet has changed consumption patterns when talking about fast fashion & then walk that back when the conversation shifts to makeup + skincare. And saying teenagers were marketed to just as strongly and consistently 20-30 years ago simply isn’t true.

The “13 year old wishlist” conversation is really an interesting one because there’s such an obvious generational gap between people who were teenagers when social media was a thing and people who were teenagers when it wasn’t. Completely changed consumption patterns.

Sorry to act entitled over a non-serious issue, but it has to be said: being made to wait 2-3 years between seasons of television that are 8-10 episodes long is inexcusable and unsustainable. Just total corporate dissonance with regard to what people like about watching TV shows.

@slimespider Well, that's the problem. A pair of proper, good walking boots ARE expensive. I bought a pair of 5.11 ATAC with a side-zipper about 4 years ago. They're hands down the best footwear I've had. Seeing them sold at around $150 in Danish webstores.
