If you took out the loan you need to pay it back, there's no way around it, but I'm also sympathetic to people stuck in this situation. Their whole lives they're being told they've got to go to college, and the minute they turn 18 this debt trap is waiting for them. Colleges have gotten more expensive as the degrees have become worth less and less. The whole system needs major reform.
