Hear me out: Remove Judge Nicholas Rowland. Three teenage boys gang r@pe two separate girls, are found guilty and he protects their future and says, “No-one need go to prison today.” EXCUSE ME? WHAT? What about the victims? This IS misogyny - the act of r@pe and the response by this Judge. Accountability matters particularly at a time of increasing misogyny and male violence to girls and women. ENOUGH of professionals and systems backing up perpetrators 🤬💀 It’s good the sentence is being reviewed - the Judge should be investigated and removed #CrimeAnalyst #Pattern #Misogyny #MaleViolence @laurarichards99

Can we just take a second to really take this in? How on earth has it come to this? Where a man can performatively ‘admit’ to sex with a child on an international platform but then couch it as some form of reflection or responsible accountability exercise - whilst deliberately leaning on our terrible, useless, outdated sexual offences act and age of consent? This man was 30 years old, and at the height of his fame - when he made an active choice to have sex with a child. I would use much stronger language here but he’s deliberately leaning on our consent laws, that a 16 year old child can technically consent to sex - meaning that he could technically have ‘consensual sex’ with a school age child. His admission and his disgusting performative ‘progressive’ ‘reflection’ that he is ‘exploitative’ makes my effin skin crawl. If this is not a predator in full swing, I do not know what is. This man is admitting to sex with children and no one is going to do a thing about it. Absolutely atrocious. Our laws need urgently updating to ensure no adult can ever have technically consensual sex with a child. No adult should ever want that; and no child should ever be exposed to it. End.

It could happen to anyone.#FactsMatter At 11, I lost everything. My father died. My mother’s mental health collapsed. I was taken into care — and placed in a home run by paedophiles. By 12, I was homeless, taken in by criminal gangs. At 13, I was forced to sell drugs. I never saw a classroom. At 14, I nearly died - heroin. At 15, I found boxing — and hope. Managed to get back into school. At 16, I joined the army, desperate for purpose. At 17, I left to become a professional boxer. At 18, I fought twice, then walked away from the ring. At 19, I studied acting and began working in theatre and TV. At 24, I trained in Los Angeles under Michelle Danner. By 27, I was back in the UK, homeless, addicted, and broken. At 28, I attempted suicide. Then I escaped — to Italy, teaching English through drama. A year later, I moved to London to act and survive. At 30, everything changed. I met my wife. We built a home. Had a child. At 31, I returned to education and dedicated my life to working in the care system — to fight for the children still trapped in the system that nearly killed me. Today, at 45, I’m a best-selling author and national campaigner. I speak not only for myself — but for every young person who has been silenced, ignored, and left behind. My story isn’t about what I survived. It’s about what I became. Make care experience a protected characteristic. #changeiscoming

And it will forever be appalling to me that a bunch of celebrities with influence over young people used their platforms to amplify unevidenced claims for the benefit of transitioning minors while smearing those urging caution as bigots.

@jk_rowling It will forever be amazing to me that people with medical degrees got in front of a camera and said that the effects of puberty blockers on children and adolescents are fully reversible. The horror.

This week, The Guardian reported on a survey by the Royal College of Psychiatrists claiming that ‘three in four women do not know that menopause causes mental illness.’ Read that sentence again. Menopause causes mental illness, apparently. And the silly women don’t even know about it. Give us all a goddamn break, please. It is hard to overstate how pathologising, misleading, and politically loaded that statement is. And it is even harder to ignore the fact that this message was not stumbled upon accidentally by a journalist. It was issued as a press-friendly finding by one of the most powerful psychiatric institutions in the UK. The Royal College of Psychiatrists. A disgusting and deliberate tactic to frame menopausal and perimenopausal women as mentally ill, and of course, unaware. As a psychologist who has spent years researching the psychiatric labelling of women and girls, and as the author of Sexy But Psycho, I find this framing deeply concerning. Because this is exactly how it happens. First, women’s normal physiological processes are reframed as psychiatric risk factors. Then women are told they are unaware, uninformed, or ignorant about their own bodies. Then the screening increases. Everyone celebrates more screening of women. Then the diagnoses increase. Then the prescribing increases. And before long, an entire life stage has been recoded as a mental health disorder waiting to happen. This is not a drill, ladies. This is not a drill.

Justice has finally been served — but it came far too late for the hundreds of children who suffered at the hands of predators working at Skircoat Lodge Children's Home in Halifax. Let this be a warning to anyone, past or present, who thinks children in our care system are disposable — who treat them like wild animals, like second-class citizens. We were children. We deserved protection. To my friends I lost to suicide because of what was done to them — this is for you. Your voices were silenced, but your truth will never be buried. Damaged isn’t just a memoir of my life. It’s survival. It’s truth. It’s a promise that change is coming. And it’s time to fix this broken system once and for all. To those at Calderdale Council who turned a blind eye — survivors deserve more than silence. They deserve a public apology. Know this. #changeiscoming

🚨Breaking🚨 The government has paused the puberty blockers trial. This is a huge victory but now we must compel them to abandon it completely. This poison must never enter another child’s body. To everyone who signed my petition and supported our judicial review, thank you!

From the shadows of silence to the light of justice: My name is Keith Hinchliffe, and after 40+ years, I broke free from the chains of child sexual abuse. Groomed and assaulted starting at age 12 by predator Philip Saunders in the 1980s—at home, in cars, even at Wembley Stadium—while he had unchecked access to Grafton Close Children's Home run by Richmond Council. Propositioned by staff too. The system failed me then, but I refused to let it define me. I tracked him down myself when police "couldn't," faced him in court for 5 grueling days, and in 2024, he was convicted and jailed for 6 years on multiple counts. Now, battling C-PTSD, I'm fighting for accountability—no more gaslighting letters, denied apologies, or blocked compensation. Councils like @LBRUT must own their negligence and protect future generations. If my story resonates, you're not alone. Survivors rise stronger. Let's amplify voices, demand change, and end the silence together. Who's with me? 💪 #CSASurvivor #FightForJustice #Break the silence #NoMoreCoverUps

I’m currently travelling the country, spreading a message that needs to be heard far and wide, children in care are still children, and change is coming. Every day, more young people are leaving care only to face homelessness and a life of misery. If the government refuses to act, then we will.
