#Iran maintains the largest and most diverse missile arsenal in the Middle East, though its capabilities have been significantly impacted by the ongoing conflict with the #US and #Israel. While Tehran historically adhered to a self-imposed 2,000 km range limit, recent operations have demonstrated a reach of up to 4,000 km, potentially threatening targets across Europe and as far south as the Indian Ocean.   The inventory has been depleted and degraded by intensive combat and targeted strikes during Operation Epic Fury and the June 2025 war.   Estimates of the remaining arsenal vary from 1,500 to 2,500 ballistic missiles. U.S. and Israeli officials claim that 60% to 90% of Iran’s offensive strike capability and mobile launchers have been destroyed. Despite sanctions, Iran is reportedly producing dozens of new missiles monthly with assistance from foreign partners like Russia and China.  Iran has constructed vast hardened facilities and silos, such as the Imam Ali Missile Base, to protect its arsenal from pre-emptive air strikes. Newer systems like the Emad use maneuverable re-entry vehicles (MaRVs) to improve terminal accuracy and bypass interceptors like Israel's Iron Dome. Iran frequently coordinates ballistic missile salvos with thousands of Shahed drones and cruise missiles (e.g., Paveh) to saturate and overwhelm enemy radar. While #Tehran denies seeking nuclear weapons, Western intelligence warns that its heavy ballistic missiles are inherently capable of serving as nuclear delivery vehicles Short-Range (SRBM) < 1,000 km #Baghdad, #Dubai, #Riyadh Medium-Range (MRBM) 1,000 - 3,000 km #TelAviv, #Istanbul, #Cairo, #Athens Intermediate-Range (IRBM) 3,000 - 4,000+ km #London, #Paris, #DiegoGarcia

🚨🇬🇧🇫🇷 Chelsea and Strasbourg supporters will march together in London next month in protest against BlueCo ahead of Chelsea vs Manchester United on April 18. NotAProjectCFC said the march will send one clear message: “BlueCo Out.” They also want to highlight “the incompetence and mismanagement at Chelsea” and how clubs like Strasbourg are being “stripped of their identities” under multi-club ownership. The #UK government confirmed it has authorised the United States to use the military bases at #RAF Fairford in #Gloucestershire and #DiegoGarcia in the #Indian Ocean for strikes against Iranian missile sites. The mission specifically targets missile sites and capabilities used by Iran to attack international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and senior ministers defined these operations as acts of "collective self-defence" intended to protect British nationals, Red Ensign vessels, and regional partners from "reckless" strikes. Downing Street emphasized that while the UK is providing base access, it is not participating directly in the raids and remains committed to avoiding being drawn into a wider regional conflict. RAF Fairford is notably the only airfield in Europe equipped to support all three types of #US heavy bombers (B-1, B-2, and B-52), which are critical for these long-range missions. #Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, has warned that the #UK’s decision will be viewed as "participation in aggression", stating that Iran reserves its right to defend its sovereignty.

Violent clashes broke out in #Jerusalem as Israeli police used batons to disperse Haredi Jewish protesters demonstrating against light rail construction. The incident, which occurred in close proximity to young children and infants, led to the immediate suspension of the officers involved pending an investigation. The confrontation has sparked public debate regarding the internal unrest occurring while the country remains engaged in an active military conflict and under missile fire. #israel

As of March 2026, the estimated strategic oil reserves (emergency stockpiles) for major countries, measured in days of their domestic consumption, are as follows •🇯🇵 #Japan: 260 Days •🇸🇬 #Singapore: 245 Days •🇰🇷 #SouthKorea: 210 Days •🇺🇸 #US: 200 Days •🇨🇳 #China: 104–115 Days •🇩🇪 #Germany: 90 Days •🇫🇷 #France: 90 Days •🇬🇧 #UK: 60–90 Days •🇮🇳 #India: 25 Days •🇵🇰 #Pakistan: 3 Days Member nations of the International Energy Agency (IEA) are required to maintain emergency oil reserves equivalent to at least 90 days of their prior year's net imports. While countries like #Venezuela and #SaudiArabia have the largest "proven reserves" in the ground (lasting decades or centuries at current production rates), the "days left" typically refers to Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR)—accessible oil already extracted and stored for immediate emergency use. There are approximately 1.77 trillion barrels of proven oil reserves globally as of 2025, which would last roughly 47 years at current consumption levels

The International Energy Agency is using a geopolitical crisis to push a lifestyle agenda that shifts the burden of corporate energy failures onto individual households. Forcing people to work from home and cut their own fuel demand is a convenient way for governments to avoid addressing their lack of energy independence or the consequences of their foreign policy. This is not a solution for a crisis but a permanent shift toward micro managing how people live and move under the guise of an emergency.

Health officials are managing what they describe as an "unprecedented" and "explosive" outbreak of Meningitis B (MenB) in #Kent. The outbreak is primarily centered in Canterburyand has been linked to a suspected "super-spreader" event at a local nightclub. There have been 27 confirmed or probable cases of invasive meningococcal disease identified since 13 March. Two young people have died: a 21-year-old student at the University of Kent and an 18-year-old sixth-form student from Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Faversham. Most affected individuals have been hospitalised, with some reported to be in serious condition Key Locations Affected Club Chemistry (Canterbury): Most cases are linked to attendees of this nightclub between 5 and 7 March. University of #Kent: The primary site of the outbreak. #Canterbury Christ Church University:Confirmed its first student case on 18 March. One case in #Greenwich, #London, has been directly linked to the #Canterbury cluster. Cases have been reported at five local schools, including Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School (#Faversham), The Canterbury Academy, and schools in #Ashford Over 6,500 doses of preventative antibiotics have been issued to students and close contacts to halt the spread. A #MenB vaccination programme is underway for approximately 5,000 students living in halls at the University of Kent and students at affected schools. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) declared this a national-level incident to mobilise resources, though they stress the risk to the wider public remains low.

In the last 12 hours (as of the morning of 19 March 2026), the conflict in the Middle East has entered a critical new phase, with direct attacks on major energy hubs across the Persian Gulf causing global oil and gas prices to spike.  Two waves of Iranian missile strikes caused "extensive damage" and "sizeable fires" at the Ras Laffan Industrial City, #Qatar's primary LNG hub. #Qatari authorities have since confirmed the fires are under control but ordered Iranian military attachés to leave the country within 24 hours. #Saudi & #UAE Infrastructure Targeted: Saudi Arabia reported an aerial attack on its Yanbu port(a vital Red Sea export outlet) and intercepted a missile near Prince Sultan Air Base. Meanwhile, the UAE shut down Habshan gas facilitiesfollowing an Iranian strike. The Israeli military launched its first strikes on Northern #Iran, reportedly targeting navy vessels at the port of Bandar Anzali on the Caspian Sea. The #UK’s maritime agency (UKMTO) reported that two more vessels were hit by unknown projectiles in the Persian #Gulf early Thursday morning.  Trump’s "South Pars" Ultimatum: President Donald Trump stated that while the U.S. "knew nothing" of Israel’s initial strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field, he would "blow up" the entire field if Tehran continues attacking Qatari energy assets. #SaudiArabia’s Foreign Minister announced the Kingdom "reserves the right to take military action" against Iran following these latest strikes. Iranian missile fire in the West Bank killed three Palestinian women near Hebron, marking the first Palestinian fatalities from Iranian strikes since the war began.

The surge in petrol prices between 23 February and 16 March 2026 was primarily driven by the onset of military action in the Middle East, which caused Brent crude oil to jump from approximately $71 to over $103 per barrel.  Top 15 Countries by Petrol Price Increase (Feb 23 – Mar 16, 2026) According to analysis from @AJEnglish and Global Petrol Prices, the following countries experienced the sharpest percentage increases at the pump: 1🇰🇭 #Cambodia: 67.81% 2🇻🇳#Vietnam: 49.73% 3🇳🇬 #Nigeria: 35.02% 4🇱🇦 #Laos: 32.94% 5🇨🇦 #Canada: 28.36% 6🇵🇰 #Pakistan: 24.49% 7🇲🇻 #Maldives: 18.54% 8🇦🇺 #Australia: 18.23% 9🇺🇸 #United States: 16.55% 10🇸🇬 #Singapore: 15.69% 11🇵🇷 #PuertoRico: 13.54% 12🇩🇪 #Germany: 13.30% 13🇬🇹 #Guatemala: 12.90% 14🇸🇨 #Seychelles: 12.89% 15🇸🇱 #SierraLeone: 12.23%  The #UK saw an average petrol price increase of 6.51% during this period. This would place the UK outside the top 15 globally, likely sitting in the mid-20s in a worldwide ranking Strikes involving the #US., #Israel, and Iran on 28 February triggered immediate shocks to energy distribution. Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, which handles 20% of global oil and gas, effectively halted due to security risks. Southeast Asian nations like Cambodia and Vietnam saw the highest spikes due to high dependency on Middle Eastern imports and sensitive regulated pricing.
