@kahnsult Women have always played a prominent role in agriculture but those roles used to be unrecognized and under valued. Today women continue to contribute in those undervalued roles AND they have access to more outwardly recognized roles.

I'm working on an article abut the increasingly prominent role that women are playing in the agri-food industry. If you have any thoughts or insights, share them here; I'll try to work them into the piece!

It’s the first time I’m taking the train to Ottawa for work. Not much longer than driving or flying to Toronto to get a plane, and lower stress and more work gets done. But @AirCanada and @WestJet if you still had those morning direct flights from London, I’d be there…

@RHSlansky @tnwhiskeywoman This combined with the fact that larger sizes can be altered for more and more people so they would have been worn more by more people and then fallen apart. You can take something in again and again but you can’t add to a very small size as easily.

@tnwhiskeywoman My guess is that it’s the same reason that early 19th century and before clothing tends to be small and formal; if you weren’t wealthy you wore your clothes until they fell apart, and the vast majority of people have never been wealthy. So yeah, anthropological sabotage

@Stuthefarmer I can picture this exactly! Chickadees can have real attitude. I def pity the fool who tries to take that chickadees seed. 😂😂😂

This afternoon I saw a chickadee who looked remarkably like Mr. T. True story.

@heybrendan I’m so sorry Brendan. People wonder why women don’t leave and yet leaving is so hard and dangerous. Such an incredible loss.

@bronwynnewilton @CentrWellington This is very cool. We went down to one car over the panorama and as a result I’ve started taking the bus in Guelph and using a car share and it’s been a way easier transition than I thought it might be.

@ajadams94 I feel quite confident that you do not own that podium. That pup is the clear owner. No doubt about it. 😂😂😂

@millerdk03 I love to see lofty goals but edible candy corn may be a lost cause. 😂😂

@ACShilton Add fall spices to the cake mix - cinnamon, all spice, cloves, nutmeg to turn it into a spice cake. Make maple buttercream for the icing (whip butter, add icing sugar and maple syrup until you have enough and it’s the right consistency)

I've been working on another podcast, TOWNSIZING, for the last few months — the first episode drops today w/Ben & Erin Napier, but the rest of the eps are about non-famous people who've moved/returned to small towns, and all the challenges & joys that accompanies it
