@CarmichaelDave Teams have figured out how to play Sabonis and Mike has no answers for adjustment. Mike is an amazing assistant coach. But when it comes to doing it on his own.. he doesnt have it.

I’ve seen enough. Kings start out gangbusters in OKC, but couldn’t hold a 19 point lead. 1-3 road trip, and 3 left to decide if they’re an 8 or 9 seed. Next up: NOLA, first game back from a road trip.

Mike Brown shared a story last week about when he was coaching the Cavs. His team was getting worked on defense & nothing they tried was working. During a huddle, Mike asked his players what they wanted to do. A young LeBron James spoke up, told his teammates they were going to stick to what they'd been working on in practice, and started directing and demanding more from guys. Now, before you go "yeah but it's LeBron", understand the point of that story from Mike is that the star stepped up & the coach stepped aside. From that point, the Cavs were one of the best defensive teams in the NBA that season. De'Aaron Fox or Domantas Sabonis need to have that star leadership moment with this group. Because they've unraveled far too many times.

@The_StilesFiles Panthers also had the 27th rank Strength of schedule that’s season. Barely played any legit threat till the play offs, and not a top 5 defense until the Super Bowl. In comparison, 49ers have the 9th hardest strength of schedule this season.
