@JoshuaBarker94 The perfect pour of the Guinness is what brings a tear to my eye. The Northern Irish do it right!

@KHoulgate Safe staffing will become and issue?! Or already is…? 🤔 There are still plenty of frontline staff fighting to uphold the values and very foundation of the ambulance service, it’s a sorry state of affairs.

@BeccytheRN And yet no comment about your clinical progress. Someone needs to consider their own handwriting too! X

Found my old student nurse OARs today, Always remember this comment I received from my first placement " her other full time job as a parent to 2 small boys does need to come second " let's work on kindness and inclusion for our student nurses ❤️

@GECFrost I enjoyed your (misleading) article as The Times money mentor on 9th Feb detailing Highest-paying jobs in the UK…any of my NHS paramedic colleagues anywhere close to this salary?!!! Paramedics start at band 5 £27,055, perhaps we are due a raise after all?!!

@ric_cole Don’t let the government play you mate! I left the military in 2014 on 33k a year. I’m now a paramedic on 25k a year. The pay doesn’t bother me. We will still go to patients during the “strike” people are dying now due to lack of care. Not because we might strike.

I often talk about perceived barriers in the ambulance service from appropriate conveyance, non conveyance or referal so here is a little thread of what I have collected over the years. Hope might be helpful with some myth busting and thinking differently.....

Hasn’t sunk in that I’ve handed my resignation in to the ambulance service today. Always saw myself working for the service for my whole career. I would have done had it not been for a great development opportunity as a trainee ACP in ED with @UHP_NHS. The learning continues! 📚

Dr Jon Dallimore demonstrating The Straddle Lift. Frequently used by Pre Hospital teams including Search and Rescue, this is a fantastic alternative to a log roll, particularly in those with suspected pelvic or long bone fractures. @PlymUniMedicine Global and Remote health MSc
