The idea of a communist revolution is self refuting. It’s led by people who openly argue they can’t sustain their own lives without taking from others, while targeting the very people they depend on to produce what they consume. They claim the rich shouldn’t exist, yet rely on them to avoid scarcity. Instead of a path to independence it’s a demand to replace one form of dependence with total control over it.

Pretty sure this is a very unpopular opinion: Altruism is praised as a virtue, and defined as helping others with no regard for yourself. That’s exactly why I reject it. It frames morality as self-sacrifice and reinforces a zero-sum view where you have to diminish yourself to lift others. I prefer mutual benefit. Help when you want, because you choose to, while still valuing your own life and interests. There’s nothing wrong with investing in others when they offer value to you, and nothing wrong with profiting from it. That’s not selfish in a destructive sense. It’s how people actually thrive together.
