When a kid is learning to drive, one of the first things to teach them is that they’ll go where they are looking. Eyes on the road. If you stare at the ditch, you’re likely to land in it. People don’t realize that this principle applies to all of life. We go with our attention.

I cleaned up a couple of #poems from my bone pile that now need a home. Are any intriguing journals looking for work for their theme issues? In the alternative, has anyone noticed unlikely general circulation magazines that publish #poetry?

My hot take is that Threepenny Review has the best model for editorial. They are high-profile and respond very quickly. It should be industry norm as opposed to 10-12 month waits. Also, mags should post numbers on solicitation vs. slush. Save some dollars for people.
