@gx_leroy @JasonWalker_ @kobe_boujee88 He isn’t listening to her. She never denied the fact that Jamaica’s people are primarily of African descent. She seeks to educate about how the unique Jamaican heritage came to be. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and often they are full of shit.

@gx_leroy @JasonWalker_ @kobe_boujee88 He did. He quoted her referring to Jamaica as not “being a black/African country.” Jamaica is not on the continent of Africa hence it is not an African country. He is trying to discount her Jamaicanness as she is of Chinese descent. He should stay out of Jamaica’s business.

@JasonWalker_ @kobe_boujee88 This Nigerian trying to tell Jamaicans how to identify is crazy work. I would never dare open my mouth and say anything about the ethnic groups that dominate Nigeria as it’s simply not my lived existence. Race is a construct so it’s defined differently by disparate societies.

@kobe_boujee88 95% of us Jamaicans trace part or all of our ancestry to Africa. Most of us are proud of our African heritage which is very obvious in our food, language, culture, music, agriculture etc, there are a few Jamaicans who try to deny our Africanness. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

@kobe_boujee88 She is Jamaican. Jamaica’s national motto is “Out of Many One People.” Jamaica does not identify as a “black country” because Jamaican culture is a mash-up of all the peoples who have come & contributed to the formation of Jamaican culture. West African culture dominates though.

@ihNinezero @zoomafrika1 I am afraid they are using US standards of blackness which historically has meant anyone with some black ancestry is black. Thus why people like Adam Clayton Powell who has mostly European ancestry is considered black in America, The “one drop rule.”

@zoomafrika1 Stop spreading misinformation. ‘Pardo’ in Brazil refers to people of mixed ancestry (European, African, Indigenous), not strictly Black population. You can’t just group everyone with some African roots as ‘Black’ that’s inaccurate and misleading.

@arifkhangeo The answer is 1 whether you divide first or multiply first. 3*3/3/3 =9/3/3 = 3/3 =1. Or 3/3/3*3 = 1/3*3 =1

Did you know that during the 1990s and early 2000s, hundreds of foster children — the vast majority of whom were Black and Latino — were enrolled in government-funded AIDS drug trials across at least seven US states. These children, many of them infants, were given experimental antiretroviral medications whose safety for children was largely unknown at the time. The trials were funded by the National Institutes of Health and carried out by top research institutions, with New York City at the centre of the controversy. Critically, most were enrolled without the independent legal advocates required by federal law to protect their interests. Some experienced serious side effects including rashes, vomiting, and dangerous drops in white blood cell counts, and at least ten died during the studies. While officials defended the trials as a desperate response to a pediatric AIDS crisis, federal investigators ultimately confirmed that ethical and legal rules had been broken, leaving a deeply troubling legacy around the use of vulnerable children of colour in medical experimentation.

@akashroy1k @TheHubKeeper It’s 18 not 21. Here is my logic, the numbers are in reverse sequential order 8,7,6,5, the next number would be “4” not “3”.’ The pattern is to multiply by 11, 10, o, 8, 7. The 4 would align w/ 7 (7*4=28) which makes the next # in the sequence 3*6 =18.

Rep. Wesley Hunt posted this to X: "Let me say this clearly. Gavin Newsom stood in front of a room full of Black voters and tried to say, “I’m like you… I had a 960 SAT.” No, Gavin. You’re not like me. I studied my butt off to get where I am. Under no circumstances are you going to belittle us by implying that all Black people have a 960 SAT and can barely read. That’s not empathy. That’s insult disguised as relatability. I had parents who believed in education. We had a sign in our house that said: “Jesus + Education = Success.” And we meant it. There’s a reason I earned three master’s degrees in four years from Cornell. My brother graduated from Harvard Business School. My sister earned her master’s in Applied Mathematics and taught at West Point while my brother and I were cadets. And yes, we were Black the entire time we were doing it. So when you suggest I “can’t read” or reduce us to a test score, what you’re really saying is that you think we’re all the same. That we’re a monolith. That this is how you see us. That is how the Democrat party sees us. I remember Hillary Clinton carrying hot sauce in her purse. I remember Joe Biden saying, “If you don’t vote for me, then you ain’t Black.” I remember Kathy Hochul claiming Black kids don’t even know what a computer is. We have an opportunity as a party, and as a country to elevate voices that the Democrat party pretends doesn’t exist - utterly destroying the race narratives they use as political strategy. It’s why I’m here. We do exist, and we reject the bigotry of the Left."

@DelgadoforNY @sunrisemvmtnyc @Indiawaltonbflo You are a disloyal sycophant. Sad - you were picked from obscurity, after losing your congressional seat which gave you a powerful platform in NYS and beyond. And this is is how you repay that trust? Pathetic. You are about to lose by 40+points.

The time to invest in renewable energy was YESTERDAY. In fact, it’s a LAW. The governor has chosen to ignore it, along with a host of other inexcusable choices like approving Trump’s new oil pipeline. @sunrisemvmtnyc knows what’s up. Their grassroots organizing, record youth mobilization, and legislative successes are an inspiration in the fight for a real climate revolution. I am so honored to earn their endorsement, and look forward to working with them in Albany so New York can get back on track to being a leader in a green future. 🌎🌅🗽
