@PaulBut38752753 @ClarkeMicah There was no official institutional condemnation of the hospital as the police chose to avoid launching any enquiry which was likely criminally negligent on their part. This will come in due course. You clearly have a perverse attitude to this case.

@ClintClease @ClarkeMicah Dr Lee made a number of questionable claims in his press conference organised by Letby's own PR firm. Again. Which verifiable offical source called the hospital inadequate and failing? You seem to be struggling on this first hurdle

@PaulBut38752753 @ClarkeMicah Every responsible commentator & respected professional that has reviewed the case has pointed to serious failings. Shit in the basins & falling from the ceiling. Understaffed with unqualified or inappropriately qualified staff. Negligent doctors only doing two ward rounds a week

@drphilhammond If these convictions aren’t set aside - in reasonably timely fashion - then all those who believe in a fair open just society will have no option but to protest vociferously & en masse

Why Lucy Letby is extremely unlikely to be granted an appeal, no matter how many experts review all the notes and trial records, and find no evidence of deliberate harm. If you couldn’t find the right defence experts first time around, it’s just bad luck. observer.co.uk/opinion-and-id…

@ClintClease @joerichlaw @Telegraph The pressure exerted on these individuals is not to be sniffed at. There are so many cases of NHS staff being silenced and bullied. If you want to find an institution that is corrupt, look no further than the NHS. By which I specifically mean middle and higher management.

Correction: many @afcbournemouth fans have angrily pointed out they are very much still fighting for a place in Europe. My apologies. On a positive note, the passion, drive and tenacity your team showed yesterday suggests you will get there.
Piers Morgan@piersmorgan

How could Bournemouth, who have nothing to play for, look like they wanted it ten times as badly as Arsenal who have a chance to win the League for the first time in 22yrs?? Just f*cking inexplicable.

@piersmorgan Don’t show your ignorance Mr. Morgan. Bournemouth are playing for a European place in addition to pride in the club - which is a very well run and happy one. Don’t be an entitled ‘big club fan’ like all the other pricks

It’s interesting when EVERY SINGLE sentence in a police statement can be refuted. And with facts not opinions. Anyone else feel they are living in an Orwellian world? #lucyletby #letby

@ClarkeMicah I would prefer the clocks to be more forward in winter - however if you really need maximum sunlight during the shorter daytime I suppose you need to make sure you are up by sunrise

‘Dark winter evenings depress me’, say the clock-fiddlers. How dim can you get? They remind me of the old woman who, in the days of the USSR, lived on the frontier between the Soviet Union and Poland. When the boundary rectification commission came by, they told her ‘Your house is exactly on the new revised border. We really don’t mind whether you stay in Poland or the USSR, so it’s up to you.’ She thought for a moment and said ‘I’d rather be in Poland’. When they asked her why, she said : ‘I can’t stand those long Russian winters’. Look , dear. The evenings *are* dark in winter. Fiddling with the clocks does not alter that.

@ClarkeMicah It would appear from all the evidence emerging that this force may have behaved outrageously. If this is true the effects of this behaviour would seem to have been cruel and far reaching & also as Peter mentions undermining the credibility of the whole justice system.

It is interesting how so much of Cheshire Police response could be applied to them. Surely, charging someone with murder, without any evidence that they harmed anyone, is the thing that risks 'undermining public confidence, not only in this case – but in the wider criminal justice system.' mol.im/a/15684499 via @DailyMail

The #LucyLetby miscarriage of justice has gone on long enough. It's time the government stepped in, condemned it and ordered her immediate exoneration and release. Nobody is fooled by the "We cannot interfere - courts are independent" nonsense. The government are quick to interfere in foreign injustice. One rule for criticising China's regime protection. gov.uk/government/new… Another for shielding the NHS. independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n… There were NO murders. There were NO attempted murders. Just natural causes or BAD MEDICAL CARE. "I would say that if this was a hospital in Canada, it would be shut down" Professor Shoo Lee This travesty will never be forgotten and never be forgiven. Allowing it to continue for even one more day is utterly shameful. @YvetteCooperMP @wesstreeting @DavidLammy @DavidDavisMP @AllisonPearson @JuliaHB1 @GoodwinMJ @EmpowerInnocent @ #JusticeForLucyLetby #NHSscandal #FreeLucyLetby

Punch gently cleans his little plush toy, brushing off the dust and fixing its tiny ears. To everyone else it may look like just a toy… but to Punch, it’s his best friend — the one that has always been there through every adventure, every nap, and every lonely moment. 🧸 He takes care of it the same way it takes care of him.

@gill1109 @guyrowlanduk @merchant47 In my opinion they lacked depth of character intelligence integrity. Police behaviour has to be elevated above these sort of base instincts. We should expect better people in senior positions. Their behaviour has already rightly been severely criticised by senior colleagues.

@merchant47 The police suffered severely from confirmation bias. Their instincts told them this was going to be the biggest case of their lives, and told them to go all out to nail the evil witch. This was their very own Bev Allitt.
