@TheLooseH Super selfish not to take the penalty. The optics scream spite and parochial cliqueoshness. Munster are isolating themselves amongst the provinces with their pseudo siege mentality—something they cannot back up. I sympathised with Munster until this season as entitled narratives.

Job done. A 5th place finish after the second half of that season is unreal. Guaranteed Champions Cup rugby is huge. Connacht fans would have been screaming take the penalty and I understand. But job done. What an effort. Absolutely buzzing.

Can I just say, I absolutely love Simon Zebo as a pundit. His passion for Munster and Ireland is infectious, but he doesn’t let it cloud his view of the game. Seems a genuine, lovely bloke, and he played like a rockstar too. Super cool guy. He and Ryan Wilson are both a credit.

Munster could have guaranteed Connacht Champions’ Cup rugby by kicking their last minute penalty. But, typically, they chose not to. They should expect no sympathy if we all cheer on the Bulls against them as a result.
