Besides his extreme war mongering, his chief domestic goal was trying to pass amnesty. He was heavily involved in this issue for over 20 years and didn't give up on it in the Trump years. Every Republican besides Massie supported OBBB and nearly all of them support the SAVE Act. It's the bare minimum. If your chief priorities were amnesty and foreign adventurism, you didn't set a good standard for the Right.
