@penottawa @KenGray Getting any of the facts out on the Lansdowne giveaway, the LRT fiasco, the farm giveaway, the Calypso giveaway etc. has always been difficult and it just got harder. Bulldog links on Facebook have been blocked by Meta.

Watson began his reign of error with the City Hall rink of dreams which distracted from the nightmare inside. Enjoy the Commanda bridge because like the rink dream the community sugar is going to have to last a long time.

The Chiarekli/Doucet plan addressed all 3. O'Brian/watson replacement plan destroyed the Transitway and added no new service. Corruption.

@MichaelLeoM @kmccrann1 @grahamctv The system I fought for was surface rail from Barrhaven to downtown, Kanata along Carling to downtown and Prince of Wales Bridge to Gatineau. First leg was trashed by O'Brien and Watson, used Parkway instead of Carling, let bridge crumble. It was a criminal disregard for city.

For those of us with options…the transit fiasco in #Ottawa is a big story, but for others it is so much more. I grew up on the bus and the subway. Transit is the equalizer, a critical link to work…school…friends. A city of 1 million deserves so much better #lrt

LRT NS cancelled 2006, lawsuit settled 2009. As Councillor @CliveDoucet predicted then, it set LRT transit (to Barrhaven!) back by over a decade and cost the city millions in design, legal, and settlement fees. Not to mention credibility. @twitandrewking

@KenGray You can't get a civic revolution when no one is paying attention because the rest of the world is also falling apart. No focus. Nothing happens anywhere. Start with what you can change. We can get honest city govt. That's doable.

@unpubmedia Systemic corruption like systemic racism is so hardwired into society that it is invisible. How did Carling Ave get dumped for the western parkway or the farm or L.P. get privatized? S.C. And like systematic racism most people don't want to believe it exists.

Like all Ottawa residents and transit users, I'm frustrated by the disruption in LRT service today during the extreme weather we've experienced.
