So, let me get this straight: Vladimir Putin wants to call for a ceasefire in Ukraine where Russia and Ukraine maintain the current frontlines. This is essentially akin to a car thief breaking into the garage of a mansion, taking 2 of the 5 cars in that garage, getting caught, and then trying to reach an agreement where he doesn't steal the other 3 cars if he's allowed to keep the 2 that he already stole. Does anyone really believe that Putin wouldn't reach a ceasefire, regroup, restock, and then go back in a couple years to take more, and then just repeat the cycle?
