Not a lot of dribbling in the NCAA tournament. A ton of CATCH AND SHOOT jumpers though — maybe go work on that more than anything. Not sure how any player that is serious about improving & wanting to play at a high level doesn’t want to go shoot right now

This is 90% of NBA players before skill trainers/coaches became popular 10-15 years ago. Pro athletes have God given elite athleticism. They can use the fundamentals learned from their team HS/college coaches and 1-2 camps a year. People think a trainer can close that gap. No
Slime🐍@ItsKingSlime

Former NBA All Star Jeff Teague says he doesn’t know how he made it to the league when he never trained seriously or had the fundamental skills everyone else had 🤔👀 Instead, he just copied others and the game came naturally to him 🔥🏀

I learned the most about how to play basketball when I played with grown men on Friday and Saturday mornings.. 7am-10am every week from 6th grade through HS If you didn’t pass & cut, screen away, play defense, move without the ball or take the correct shots, you sat & watched

@Jay_3shifty I was there watching live and was upset at those calls. In the regular season those weren’t fouls. Now in the championship game with refs from another part of the state where they interpret the calls differently then it becomes a mess. She didn’t even impede the player’s progress

I know lots of parents need help picking the RIGHT AAU/CLUB team. If your son didn't play varsity this year, your focus should be on DEVELOPMENT not exposure or pretending to be on a "shoe team." Status won't get your son to his desired destination, work & getting better will !

@Jay_3shifty @aeblgirlz One of the top basketball commentators said that @itsmorghan_03 defensive is similar to someone who has been Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in one of the top conferences in college basketball

I think Morghan Reckley has a chance to be the next Jaloni Cambridge.. she still has a lot to learn and a ways to go.. but it’s actually a joke that she’s sitting at 7 in her class.. no disrespect but 2-6 aren’t on her level. Tati got it tho, she tough

Not true in all instances. The mobile phone has made communication between two people faster but not better. People struggle communicating without texting and people today like plays run with options instead of jacking 50 3’s and watching 6’4 players guard 280 lb centers. 🤷🏾
NBA Base@TheNBABase

Nikola Jokic on why comparing NBA eras doesn’t make sense: “It would be stupid to think that basketball isn’t better today than it was 30 years ago. That would be like saying phones were better 30 years ago. Technology evolves, everything modernizes, and basketball evolves too.” (Via @XOsChat )

@haiti4eva Jordan averaged 37 in his 3rd season with Oakley as the 2nd best scorer 🤦🏽‍♂️. Peak Jordan 1990-1993 was averaging 32ppg with a championship team. ‘91 Jordan on with a mediocre team and a mediocre 2nd option definitely could average 45 in this era. That’s 2 more points per quarter

MJ avg 37 PPG in 1987. Would he average 50 today? No. 45? Probably not. But could he avg 40 for a season in this era? Most ppl just say 40 without a reason. Here’s mine 1.Floor spacing. Today’s bigs shoot threes, which pulls them out of the paint and keeps the lane open.
