OUCH! Sounds like Stanford is a terrible place and they should shut down the women's basketball team! "[A]n anonymous women’s basketball player giving the school a 3-star rating but writing the coaches deserve a 1-star rating. “There is no development, negative environment, personal attacks, 1/3 of the team walked away during season,” the women’s hooper wrote."

The game has changed so much since I won 2 National Championships at Stanford. And… I’m not really sure how I feel about all of it. NIL is leading the change everyone is talking about and to be honest, I'm glad I played when I did. (Although we all know I would have brought in generational NIL numbers.) Unlike so many college athletes nowadays...  My job was just to hoop. It seems like that is no longer the case: - Players are scrambling to see what school will give them the most money. - Coaches are trying to figure out if how many of their players are returning. - Athletic Directors are wondering how they are supposed to compete with 8-figure budgets. It's incredible to see these students finally get paid and get a share of the revenue. But when the cost is 95% yearly roster turnover  It makes me wonder... Is this is truly the best path for college athletics? 📷 Pictured Below: Me giving out some pre-NIL buckets

Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, has made the planet itself the sole beneficiary and effective "shareholder" of his company. In an extraordinary move that redefined corporate ownership, Chouinard transferred full control of the $3 billion outdoor apparel brand away from his family. He placed 100% of the company into a carefully designed structure consisting of a trust and a nonprofit organization, both dedicated to combating the climate crisis and protecting the natural world. Under this new arrangement, the Chouinard family gave up any claim to personal profits. Instead, all earnings not reinvested in growing the business—roughly $100 million each year—now flow directly to environmental causes, funding the preservation of wild lands, conservation efforts, and initiatives to fight climate change. In essence, Patagonia now exists to serve Earth as its only true shareholder, placing planetary survival above the accumulation of private wealth. The model has already delivered significant results. As of 2025, the company had channeled an additional $180 million into nature-protection projects. The structure relies on two key entities: the Patagonia Purpose Trust, which safeguards the company’s original mission and values, and the Holdfast Collective, a nonprofit that directs the profits toward high-impact environmental work. Rather than selling the business to the highest bidder or taking it public, Chouinard chose this radical path—creating what many see as a groundbreaking template for purpose-driven capitalism. Patagonia has shown that a for-profit company can become a powerful force for ecological restoration while remaining financially successful. [Chouinard, Y. (2022). Patagonia's Next Chapter: Earth is Now Our Only Shareholder. Patagonia Works]

We hate to sound like a broken record, but.... The U.S. Senate could vote THIS WEEK on bill overturning a 20-year mining moratorium in the Boundary Waters Wilderness watershed! CALL YOUR TWO SENATORS TODAY and tell them to “Vote NO on House Joint Resolution 140!”

This story of the potentially irreversible destruction of a crown-jewel national park is rapidly unfolding with absolutely zero national media attention. Journalists — we need you. Where are you?

With all eyes focused on Iran, Trump and DHS are pushing forward on border wall construction through Big Bend National Park. They will hand the Rio Grande to Mexico, destroy thousands of jobs, and ruin the last remaining wild West, all for less than 1% of all border crossings:

The White House is hosting a summit about college athletes—without college athletes. They fill stadiums, put their bodies on the line, and generate billions of dollars in revenue for others. College athletes are at the very center of college sports. Their voices need to be at the center of any policy discussions about its future.

@ChrisMurphyCT So serious question…what can the American people do about this? File a lawsuit against the President for violating the constitution?

In America, we don’t allow one doddering, self obsessed old man to waste our money on a dangerous, disastrous overseas war. No, in America the people decide if we go to war. Congress needs to be reconvened today to rein in an out of control President who thinks he is a king.
