Players who don’t go all out during practices/games are one of two things: 1) Lazy …or even more common… 2) Scared. They don’t go all out because, that way, they can always lie to themselves and say what they would have done if they really tried.

Playing time is not determined by the coach. Playing time is determined by the athlete . If you are concerned with the quantity of your game minutes, start concerning yourself with the quality of your practice minutes. Playing time isn't given. It's earned.

Talent means nothing if you can’t stay on the field. Availability > Ability. Recovery, sleep, and nutrition should be coached just like speed and strength. You can be the fastest guy in the country but doesn’t matter if you’re always on the injury report. #BeAPro
