Sometimes guys like Luis Robert Jr. will go get ABs there while they are being held out of big league games like he is now. It’s just for guys to get competitive reps and get data/looks at guys that aren’t big league ready

I was told Mets prospect Elian Peña took Liam Doyle deep today in the back fields.
Peña is 18 years old, and Doyle was the 5th overall pick last year. Lefty off lefty.

We are confusing contact with success. He had a .696 OPS with runners in scoring position last year. As a team, the Giants had a .750 OPS with runners in scoring position. He would have brought that number down if he was on the team last year.
