@BrandonEffDub They won't sell if they're still in it in July. They'd be foolish to do so. All you have to do is trip into the playoffs and anything can happen, we saw it in 2023. Any overhauling will be done in the offseason where you get more value in return.

I don't care how close the Rangers are to the division lead in July. Even if you make the playoffs, you're not doing anything because the offense is what it is and if ownership isn't going to spend like a top 5 market team should, then you need to sell off assets at the deadline.

I was 12 in 1972. I grew up in Dallas. My exposure to baseball was playing it and watching the game of the week on TV. Then we got the Rangers. I had a transistor radio and never missed a game. 10 cent beer night in Cleveland? Listening. Rangers first no-hitter thrown by Jim Bibby. Yup up till after 1 AM for that one. David Clyde leaving high school to pitch for us? That too. They only deepened my love for the game. However, as a longtime fan, I knew every season I would be kicked in the nuts by seasons end. For 50 years (extra hard in 2011). Year 51 we did it and felt surreal. Since? Back to being kicked in the nuts every year.

@GEORGEPlCK3NS The 80’s and 90’s teams were competitive and fun to watch. Almost always a quality lineup but could never get the pitching right. Sometimes it was stupid like Darling and Terrell to the Mets for Mazilli. And FA’s never wanted to willingly come to pitch in the old park.

How did the older fans manage to tolerate and deal with watching the Rangers go 24 years without making the playoffs since they moved to Arlington from Washington???

@NewbergReport In the off season I proposed Walcott for Rushing. Give quality for quality to fill the need at C. Now, don’t trade any youth…time to admit this team doesn’t function as a unit and acquire young players in a total reset. Love Evo, but used to love Tex too.

@GEORGEPlCK3NS Who is old enough to remember listening to Randy Galloway? He’d call this crap out, not dismiss it all with “reasonable explanations” for a bad offense. A bad month, a single losing streak, a poor road trip can all have reasonable explanations…3 years of the same is insanity.

Prior to this “easy” stretch of games, the crew at RSN, and CY at 105.3 were constantly telling us that the difficult early season schedule was the reason behind the early struggles. We are now 3-5 in the middle of this stretch against weaker teams. What are they gonna say now?

@NewbergReport Seager, Evo, deGrom all bring quality players in return. Burger, JHS, one of the catchers bring low level talent, Carter and Nimmo bring an OK return and go with all youth. It’ll be more interesting than what is happening now to sell, restock and rebuild.

I’m not moving him. Too important on the field and off to accept what he’d bring at this age.

@CraigRaz @JaredSandler No. Check out Liam Hicks with Marlins. CY added him as a part of the Garver trade. Although a WS flag flies from that season, so no real complaint. Maybe Moore proves to be the real deal but he is 2 or 3 years out.

The Rangers got walked off Sunday night, capping a series sweep at the hands of the Angels. Texas managed just 3 hits and struck out 16 times. Outside of a Jake Burger solo homer in the second inning, the Rangers didn't put a runner on base until the ninth. They finally loaded the bases in the final frame, but couldn't push one across. Instead, the game ended on a Justin Foscue bobble and errant throw on what should've been an inning-ending double play, allowing the winning run to score. Texas closes a 9-game road trip against the three worst teams in baseball going 3-6.

@desertdawg Actually a rebuild would be interesting to watch young players blossom even tho many will flop. I for one would return to the park and spend money taking my family. Not spending a dime on this team.

I’m as frustrated as any Rangers fan right now, but some of y’all’s “sell” scenarios are hilarious. We have only one player of extreme value to anyone right now and it’s Nathan Eovaldi. We are not going to get a haul for Seager OR deGrom in their current conditions. There is no quick fix and if you think THIS sucks, wait for the rebuild. #Rangers
