Showcase culture has hurt baseball in a lot of different ways. One thing that really stands out is that teams not only don’t know HOW to win games, they don’t CARE to win games. No killer instinct.

Then why am I seeing D1 players at elite programs pimp a base on balls….or bat flip a sac fly? But yeah, coach is gonna cross a dude off because the kid didn’t power wash the dugout after the game 🙄 I’m not saying it’s right. I’m saying it’s 2026. Coaches get paid to win games.

@CoachHodes The coaches are already there because they know the kid can play ball. They cross them off the list for being a knucklehead. There’s lots of talented players, they don’t want the headache. But yes, you have to be super talented too.

@BaseballDudes48 -Time limits on games -Umpires that don’t know balk rules. -Missing signs -Pitchers that don’t think knowing how to hold base runners matters.

Things that make you 🤦‍♂️: • When players walk out to their positions. • Hitters who think the pitcher hit them on purpose when it was an off speed pitch. • Pitchers who walk the world but care more about what the gun said. • Players forgetting gear. • Slow baseball games. • Pitchers who struggle to throw strikes but use the umpires as scapegoats. • Hitters who take strikes and swing at balls but use the umpires as scapegoats. • Coaches who ignore weekly pitcher and catcher individual work. • GameChanger drama. • When your pitcher is standing on the mound with no one out there to warm them up. • Coaches using tactics to “run out the clock.” • When a team goes into a tournament with less than 5 viable arms that can throw strikes and cover multiple innings. • Coaches who overuse pitchers. • Adults who tell young players they need to believe in themselves but then focus and rant on every mistake made. • Tournaments that use inning and out guidelines for pitchers. • 8:00am games!! What else…

Do you know of other sports that don’t use a scoreboard in highly competitive, very expensive, games/tournaments? Somehow it’s acceptable in ⚾️. Walk into a ⚾️ game and 90% dk the score,outs or inning. Would that fly in 🏀…🏈…⚽️? Even LAX gets one 😂 #WTF

As I sit here on the 250th of the greatest country ever created, I want to say it once again…. Ending a baseball game in a tie is un-American, some might even say communist. The cruel irony is that it cost a kings ransom to play in the tourneys that set these rules.
