"Athletic performance class was seen just like band...you quit band? You don't get to stay in band" 🔥🔥🔥 For those outside of secondary education, the band is the most powerful/important group at 90% of schools. Entire school scheduling is built around the band.

@Tyry202 We were blessed at YCHS. If you were no longer in the team whose class you were in? You were sent to gen pop PE. Athletic performance class was seen just like band and our principal had to tell some people that…you quit band? You don’t get to stay in band class.

It's amazing how many high school athletes will do everything but the work required to maximize their potential. There is no special movement, workout, or shortcut to get better. Maximizing potential requires substantial time and relentless effort.

Building a HS S&C program requires 1. Coaches support S&C verbally/with actions to get kids bought in. If coaches don't want S&C most kids won't either 2. Scheduling to get athletes in classes. Ex. Specific sport classes or athlete vs gen pop periods. Big difference in set up
