@herculezg What is he supposed to do call every player that didn’t get called up?Guarantee if he called Luna the conversation would then be “How come he called Luna but nobody else? Why even bother calling at that point”. He didn’t make it that’s life. Should Pepi have been called last WC?

Mr. Gomez, I've appreciated your criticism and definitely your insight, but I'm afraid I disagree with you big time on this. All of those players sign up for this knowing they could get that email or get that reply, whatever way, you know?
Luna was out of form, and I don't think he had the chops for the World Cup. It was close, but not enough. With Zendejas and Pepe's form, they were most certainly earning the role.
I'm pretty glad that Pepe got the call-up in comparison to last time, where he was the biggest snub, despite how much good form he was in and being one of the top scorers in the qualifiers.

When I was growing up, soccer wasn't even a thing. NOBODY had a soccer ball. Football, dodgeball, baseball, gloves, bats, sweatshirts painted like jerseys with the numbers of our favorite players. We even had slot cars, but no soccer balls...
