I love this b/c it is what coaching should be, that's why pros trust @Tony_Villani_ , b/c he gets feedback from them. Jason says the hidden part out loud. Coaches spend too much time harping on uniformity. Give kids concepts & rules & let them betbe athletes. Then, as Travis said, they will become knowledgeable & find how to play w/in themselves

So many things @tkelce says here should sound familiar: -1-2 steps of force and not sprinting. -moving between 70-85% of MaxV (that is 14 to 17 mph) -AND MOVING LIKE AN F1 CAR AND NOT AN AIRPLANE. We have been discussing this for years and really dialed in more decently.

If I hit game-like levels of intensity and tissue load in preparation for a season, I'll likely be ready even if the volumes are below game levels. If I achieve the volumes without hitting the intensity and tissue load, nothing good happens.
