@HAWK_GUYS The NCAA is optional to belong to. The entire Big 10 should walk. If a second major conference left, the NCAA would cease to exist. The NCAA is one of the biggest cons in the history, right there with the Federal Reserve.

27 athletic departments that sponsor men's lacrosse opted out, so 50 opted in.
Among those, Johns Hopkins was one of 9 DIII departments to opt in for their DI sports.
On June 10, I said I thought fewer than 33 departments would opt in. Needless to say, I'm surprised.

Is “squirrel” defense something that teams have actually tried?
I did it as a crazy idea just to try it late in hopeless games just for fun to see if it would work. But I had never heard of it and didn’t think other teams had actually done it as a serious strategy

Hot take: @NovaLacrosse should mix in some “Squirrel” defense. Made famous by Middlebury Lacrosse, you put a SSDM on the end line to back up shots & play 6v5. Any missed shot is a turnover. Why? @HoyasMLacrosse are 21% on EMO this season…

Some thoughts on youth sports👇
The traditional season (Lacrosse in the Spring / Soccer in the fall etc.) should be untouched by club, travel or AAU. Spring should be for kids to play with their friends from school & the neighborhood & that will attract new players to the sport.
