James Garner would've been 98 years old today. One of my all-time favourite actors. I first really noticed him in Dick Donner's Maverick in 1994 & was captivated by his easy charm. I've watched him in so much since. He was simply one of coolest actors to ever grace the screen.

James Garner was born on this day in 1928. He brought real military experience to the role of Hendley in The Great Escape (1963). He was a Korean War veteran who served as a scrounger himself and earned two Purple Hearts. Effortless, electric. Incredible.

Happy Birthday, Russell Crowe. The more I revisit The Nice Guys (2016), the more I adore it. Gosling and Crowe have the kind of chemistry that should’ve spawned a whole run of movies. Someone get Shane Black on the phone; this needs a sequel.
