MM coaches: take note. This is how you should support your guys who decide to move on to the next level (when they’re ready). Matas was 11x OVC freshman of the week and helped UT Martin to a 22 win season. With a coach like this - freshmen should be fighting to fill his shoes.

Sources: North Florida will hire Bobby Kennen as its permanent head coach. Kennen served as interim head coach this past season and was a long-time assistant under Matt Driscoll.

Jeremy and John Shulman both getting it done as D-1 head coaches this year. Jeremy, in his second season at UT Martin, is now 10-2 in the OVC and in first place in the league. His uncle, John, who took over at Central Arkansas last season, is 13-10 overall and 8-2 in the ASUN after being picked to finish 8th in the preseason. Central Arkansas one of the toughest jobs in the league and the program hasn't finished above .500 in conference play since 2018.

The type of boss that will always give the credit to his players and staff. He deserves his flowers! Dudes a winner‼️

Due to finals we had to travel our 3rd manager for tonight’s game. A freshman who tracked me down at orientation this summer. He stepped up when his number was called tonight and helped our operations go smoothly on the road for his first trip. Proud of my guy Brylan🫡

Maybe I shouldn’t share this, but I’m going to. Before the season began, @CoachShul DM’d me with a big “thank you for what you do to for the OVC”. I really appreciated it as it was one of the first times that a coach had reached out to me directly. But today, I think we need to give HIM a big thank you. The OVC hasn’t seen this type of nationwide discussion since the Murray/Belmont days. What he and his team have done in the first couple weeks of this season is really impressive and the entire country (plus 10 other countries) have taken notice. Thank YOU, Coach.
