Miami (Ohio) - UNC connection? Miami's lead assistant and associate head coach is Jonathan Holmes, who played four years at UNC from 1999-2003. Holmes played in 76 games for the Tar Heels Holmes previously coached at Elon, William & Mary, Montreat, and Francis Marion.

One name that should be in the mix is Kansas State Assistant Rodney Perry. Perry served as an Assistant at UMKC from 2019-2021. He also was the HC at Avila University (NAIA) from 2010-2016 in Kansas City. Strong Kansas City ties who is a proven winner #TheCarousel

🏀 Special night in Chapel Hill! As UNC took down Kansas, I had the chance to connect with Milligan University Head Coach Bill Robinson during his Carolina Basketball School book signing right on campus before the Tar Heels tipped off. Zach had a great visit with Coach Robinson and Assistant Coach Ken Angel at Milligan earlier this year, so it was really special seeing Coach again in Chapel Hill and hearing more about the program. Came away inspired with signed copies of Coach’s new book! Moments like this show how basketball connects people and programs everywhere. Go Heels!
